    Short adjectives: Long adjectives:

    1- tall 1. Expensive
    2- short 2. Interesting
    3- small 3. Exciting

    Long adjectives have more than one

    est with short
    adjectives:
    adj. Superlative
    tall the tallest
    short the shortest
    small the smallest

    •If the adj. ends with e , we erase e then
    we add est

    •If the adj ends with consonant, vowel ,


    consonant , we double the last letter then

    •If the adj. ends with y with consonant
    before it , we erase y and put est
    adj. Superlative

    2- With long adjectives , we use
    the + most + adj

    There are some irregular adjectives:
