BHEL, country’s premier Engineering Organisation and one of the NAVARATNA PSUs catering to core
sector of Indian economy viz. Power generation and Transmission, Industry, Transportation,
Telecommunication & Renewable Energy requires Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for
Industrial Systems Group , Bangalore for their project Sites at Ukai (Gujarat), Sikka (Gujarat), Anpara
(Uttar Pradesh), Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu), Koderma (Jharkhand), Durgapur (West Bengal), North Chennai
(Tamil Nadu), Mejia (West Bengal) & Vallur (Tamil Nadu) to be engaged purely on fixed tenure basis
for a period of 24 Months.

QUALIFICATION : Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical


with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University / Institute.

(Civil)
- Design / Engineering of Civil works of industrial construction projects
involving surveying, geo-technical investigation, design and engineering of
special foundations, sub-structure and super-structure work of RCC /
Structural Steel etc.

- Design / Engineering of Structural works of industrial construction projects


involving design analysis of steel / RCC frame structures

- Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) / Field Quality Plan (FQP) for


various construction material required for Civil & Structural works, inspection
/ witnessing of tests and dispatch of items as per QAP at manufacturers’
works.

- Supervision of Civil works at site involving planning, inspection & witnessing


of tests as per FQP, measurement and certification of works carried-out at
site by the sub-contractors etc.

- Co-ordination with HQ / Contractors / Customer / Consultant

- Supervision of structural works of CHP/AHP

- Design / Engineering of Mechanical systems for Coal handling plant


involving equipments like wagon tipplers, conveyors, crushers, stackers
reclaimers, pumps etc..

- Design/Engineering of Ventilation system, dust suppression system, dust


extraction system, Hoist for coal handling system or other process plants

- Design / Engineering of Mechanical systems for Ash handling systems of


Power Plants involving vacuum conveying of fly ash, pressure conveying of
fly ash, ash slurry disposal system, LP & HP water system, instrument air
system and associated equipments.

- Preparation of QAP / FQP for various mechanical equipments of CHP/AHP,


inspection / witnessing of tests and dispatch of mechanical equipments as per
QAP at manufacturers’ works.

- Supervision of Mechanical Erection & Commissioning works at site involving


inspection / witnessing of tests as per FQP, measurement and certification of
works carried-out at site by the sub-contractors etc.

- Co-ordination with Head Quarters, Vendor, Customer and Contractor.


Executive 02 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience in any one or more of the following:
(Electrical)
– Design, Engineering, Erection & Commissioning of HT/LT Switchgear,
HT/LT Transformers, Motors, Programmable Logic Controllers, AC Drives, PF
Compensation equipments, Cable Engineering, Electrical System
Engineering, Engineering for Coal Handling/ Ash Handling Plants

- Erection & Commissioning of above equipments and other Electrical


controls and Instrumentation Systems / Equipments of CHP & AHP

- Erection & Commissioning of fire fighting/ ventilation/ power plant lighting


equipments, CCTV, PLCC, PAS Etc.

- Supervision of erection / assistance in commissioning of plant / co-


ordination with Contractors, Consultants, Vendors, Customers and Head
Quarters.

Candidates with upto one-year experience will also be considered provided they
possess experience in the relevant field.

RESERVATION & RELAXATION

1. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer), Physically challenged candidates and


Ex-servicemen will be as per Government of India norms.

2. Upper Age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST and 3 years for OBC
category candidates. Age relaxation for PH & Ex-servicemen will be as per
Government of India directives.

3. No. Application fee is to be paid by SC/ST candidates.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

(a) Candidates should enclose copies of certificate for proof of Date of birth, Qualifications and
Experience along with the biodata format. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-
creamy layer) category must enclose a recent caste certificate from competent authority in a
format prescribed by the Central Government.
(b) Selection process comprises of written test and / or interview. Candidates called for Interview
will be reimbursed second class sleeper train fare by the shortest route from their starting
station or mailing address whichever is nearer to the place of interview.
(c) The posts are purely temporary in nature and offered on fixed tenure basis for a period of 24
months only. This post is not against any permanent vacancy. This placement will not
entitle the candidate for any regular/permanent employment in BHEL in future.
(d) Mere conformity to the job requirements will not entitle a candidate, to be called for written
test and / or interview. Management reserves the right to reject the application without
assigning any reason.
(e) Management reserves the right to raise the standard of specifications to restrict the
number of candidates to be called for written test and / or interview.
(f) The recruitment process can be cancelled / suspended / terminated without assigning any
reasons. The decision of the Management will be final and no appeal will be entertained.
(g) No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates not selected for written test/
interview / fixed tenure appointment.
(h) Candidates will be subject to medical examination by the Company+ Medical Officer prior to
their appointment after due selection.
( i) Incomplete applications or other than the one prescribed in this advertisement will not be
entertained.
( j) A non-refundable Bank Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) in favour of
BHEL, ISG payable at Bangalore is to be enclosed. Candidates are advised to write their
name and position on the reverse side of the DD.

Malleswaram, Bangalore-560 012 as per the under given format with a recent passport
size photograph duly signed and affixed on the right hand corner of ‘Format for applying’.
Completed applications should reach latest by 10.03.2010.

2. Self-attested copies of mark-sheets of qualifying Engineering degree, experience certificate


may be enclosed along with copies of caste/Category certificate as may be applicable.
