    This study compares the academic performances of optimistic and pessimistic 10th grade students at Fiat Lux Academe Dasmariñas Campus. A survey was used to identify students' levels of optimism and pessimism. The grades of selected optimistic and pessimistic students from the first and second grading periods were then analyzed. Results showed that optimistic students generally performed better than pessimistic students, with higher average grades. The study concludes that a student's mindset can impact academic performance, with optimism linked to better results. Recommendations include encouraging the development of optimistic thinking in students.
