Common Core Lesson Planner

This lesson plan is for a 3rd grade reading class. Students will read the story "A Moon of My Own" and answer questions about it. Webb’s Depth of important highlights of the text that are relevant to the questions given.

which will help build their annotating skills.

Delivery
In order to connect the beginning of the lesson to what students already know, I will ask students
if they have ever worked in groups or answered text-dependent questions. I will also ask them
questions based on information they will learn in the book, such as “What are the different
shapes the moon forms?”
