The document discusses pictures of three 11-year old children and asks the reader to make observations about how they were raised based on their appearances and behaviors. It suggests one child seemed neglected with poor parenting, one had supportive family who helped develop confidence, and one was freely expressing a gender identity that implied an open family. The differences between the children are attributed to the unique environments and quality of parenting in their homes.

How do you think were they raised? What are

the things you observed that are common and
which are different?
• The child seemed to grew up in a supportive
family where he is well-supported and taken
care of. With that, he was able to develop
positive self-concept and confidence.
How do you think were they raised? What are
the things you observed that are common and
which are different?
• The child seems to be in the stage of identity
confusion wherein the girl is starting to show
preference on men's clothing. As shown in
the picture, she was able to freely express
this preference, thus shows that her parents
are open to LGBTQ community.
What do you think accounts for the
differences?

• Among the 3, it is common that they are in

developing stage and recognizing their
individual preferences as well as personality
and identity in their own unique ways. The
differences lies in the kind of environment
they are in and in the quality of parental
monitoring they have at home.
