HP HPPRLOG – Release Notes

HPPRLOG captures print registry information to *.xml and *.hiv files. Run hpprlog*.exe on the print
server, the active node of a print cluster, or a Citrix server

Description
HPPRLOG captures print registry information to *.xml and *.hiv files. Run hpprlog*.exe on the print
server, the active node of a print cluster, or a Citrix server.

Installation instructions
No installation is necessary. Copy the file hpprlog32.exe (32-bit systems), or hpprlog64.exe (64-bit
systems) to the desired directory on the hard drive of the server where HP UPD or device-specific printer
driver is installed.

Usage
Command Line
• Open a command prompt window with administrator privileges
• Browse to the folder that contains the hpprlog utility.
• 32 bit systems:
o Type hpprlog32.exe and press <Enter>
• 64 bit systems:
o Type hpprlog64.exe and press <Enter>
Windows Explorer
• Browse to the directory where the files were previously copied and double-click the hpprlog32.exe
(32-bit systems), or hpprlog64.exe (64-bit systems) file.

Output
Hpprlog.exe will generate the following five files in the directory where the utility is run:

• SERVERNAME_cuprinter.hiv
• SERVERNAME_lmpnp.hiv
• SERVERNAME_lmprint.hiv
• SERVERNAME-prt.xml
• SERVERNAME-psi.xml
