Our mind is one of our most powerful tools. An extraordinarily high level of luxury and
security has been enabled for many of our species by the mind’s amazing abilities.
indications
Although as of late, the indi cations are becoming stronger that these applications of thought
are reaching a limit. Our mind’s ability to save us from danger, and search for food, shelter
and warmth has lost its helm. We have long since passed the time where only specific
were
species wer e endangered by our successful survival strategies. The whole planet, and with it
our own existence is in jeopardy.
Many of us can see this clearly and yet feel helpless. Our yearning for security and luxury is
too strong. The efforts needed to really bring about change seem to be hopeless. The
causes and interconnections that brought about this situation appear to be too complex.
At the same time more and more people are becoming aware of the inner connections. They
see that a transformation within each one of us is needed so that change can happen. We
tune into ourselves and realize how the chaos on our planet is mirrored by the same chaos
within us: thought-highways, toxic rivers of feelings, emotional anti-missile systems.
Our mind, our trusted servant, our so far most important tool has become a tyrant, who’s
mood swings and cravings, fears and foolishness, hold us in his grip, day in and day out.
This paradise on earth, which we wanted to create with the help of our mind, resembles a
mirage – always suspended just above the horizon, no matter how fast we run, no matter
how far we go.
More and more people perceive this state of affairs to be unhealthy. When closing their eyes,
searching for peace all they find is the nervous restlessness of the mind busying itself with
trifles. At the most they learn a meditation technique that helps them to seize a few
moments of peace, a short pause before the roundabout starts up again.
Knowledge = Ratio?
The rapid development of our cognitive abilities has dramatically changed our perception of
our world; our reality. We say knowledge is power. Our knowledge has indeed made us
increasingly more powerful. We have more and more come to deciding over life and death,
subjugating nature. This is the kind of power knowledge has brought us. What do we mean
though when we talk about knowledge? Does every application of the mind, every bit of
knowledge necessarily lead to this type of power?
In our culture knowledge has almost become a synonym for rationality – facts, logical
arguments, proofs and scientific discoveries. The more our civilization has accumulated this
form of knowledge and made it available to the general public, the more irrational
knowledge has been repressed. Irrational forms of knowledge are realizations, which can
only be deduced from their existence in the very moment. ‘It is’ and therefore ‘ it is true’,
would be a way of expressing the principle of irrational knowledge. Irrational forms of
knowledge have long caused fear in us as they are completely uncontrollable, unfathomable
and unpredictable. They are by definition a mystery. They don’t give us power; rather they
demonstrate our lack of power.
Even so, forms of irrational knowledge have in the past few years received more and more
attention, interestingly, but not exclusively also from the scientific establishment. Many
experiences, which at this time are labelled as ‘esoteric’ fall in to this category. Intuition
falls in to this category as well as wisdom, which is a deep expression of irrational
knowledge. I believe that we open up more to these areas, even though the irrationality
creates fear, because we feel deep inside, that we need this form of knowledge to stay
mentally healthy. Limiting ourselves to a mere serial, logical-rational interconnection
curtails certain abilities.
With amazement we read reports on Aborigines, who without technical aids or a school
education as we know it communicate with each other over huge distances. We are just as
amazed, when women from ‘primitive’ cultures are asked how they know when their children
urinate or defecate, so as to hold them away from their body. They look at us in
astonishment as though we have lost our senses and say: “But everyone knows this”.
In the so-called developed cultures we are quite naive in this respect. Many of us have lost
our access to our intuition long ago. Wisdom is a commodity rarely developed, even though
we have a gigantic educational system.
An ancient Knowledge
An ancient knowledge about the power and the natural potential of the human mind has
been handed down in the tradition of the Maya from Mexico. To this day we find various
traditions of ‘curanderismo’ – the traditional art of healing in Mexico. There are healers who
work with physical aids such as candles, eggs or smudging. This is the widest known form
of curanderismo. Other Curanderos (traditional healers) work in a spiritistic fashion. They
connect with the souls of persons who have moved on or with non-incarnated beings to
bring about healing or change. This form is also well known.
A third, less known form of traditional healing is that of the healers who work directly on the
mental level. They create change purely though the power of their thoughts. This tradition
is uncommon and well guarded as this knowledge is incomparably, immensely powerful.
Even so, a line of tradition has decided to make this knowledge available. They saw the
possibilities that would open up and realized the huge need of our civilization for this form
of knowledge. These teachings are called the Indigo teachings.
According to these indigo teachings the described symptoms are strongly linked to a deficit
of the power they call the indigo power. To be precise it is not even a deficit of this power
but an inability to connect to the Indigo frequency.
