Current Affairs

Current Affairs Express is a concise collection of latest events in the year 2019 and 2020. It captures the Most Important Questions among thousands of current events across the globe. Factually speaking, in any given year there are thousands of important activities which happen across the globe in the form of major sporting events, award ceremonies, book launches, appointments, summits, births, deaths, surveys, rankings etc in various fields like Science, Economics, Technology, Environment, Finance, Politics etc but it is not possible for any normal human being to remember each and every detail and that is the reason why multiple Current Affairs books & guides are launched by various publications and their respective authors. These books or guides are usually a comprehensive collection of almost all major events which take place in a particular year i.e. thousands of questions covering almost everything in detail. Current Affairs Express is a collection of the Most Expected Questions which can appear in competitive exams like IAS, PCS, State PSC, SSC, Bank PO, Bank Clerical, SBI, RBI, Railways, CDS, NDA, Police, Air Force, KVS+, Insurance, LIC, CLAT, NIFT, Management entrance exams like CAT, XAT, Symbiosis, quiz competitions like Kaun Banega Crorepati etc. It is designed in such a manner that it covers the Most Important Aspects of a particular year in a precise and concise manner and is very easy to read and understand by a student studying in class 9th, or even a businessman or a housewife who just wants to brush up his/her General knowledge. Also, any candidate who is preparing for the above mentioned entrance exams finds it difficult to retain the thousands of questions which he/she usually reads to prepare for current affairs. This book is designed in such a manner that he/she will find it easy to digest these almost 1000 current affairs event given in the book and will also be able to retain them. I have also used some pictures along with some events in the book so that the reader can retain the information for long because as the saying says “A picture is worth a thousand words”.

Article 370 & Article-35-A of Indian Constitution revoked

J&K Reorganization Bill 2019 introduced

The Reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir Bill reorganizes the

state of Jammu and Kashmir into:
(i) the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with a
legislature
(ii) the Union Territory of Ladakh without a legislature.

The Union Territory of Ladakh will comprise Kargil and Leh

districts, and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will
comprise the remaining territories of the existing state of Jammu
and Kashmir. The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be
administered by the President, through an administrator
appointed by him known as the Lieutenant Governor.
The Union Territory of Ladakh will be administered by the
President, through a Lieutenant Governor appointed by him.

Article 370 was providing special autonomous status to the Indian

state "Jammu & Kashmir" so revoking of Article 370 will revoke
the special provision which grants power to J&K to have its own
constitution.
Article 35A, which is based on Article 370, empowered the J&K
legislature to define the state's 'permanent residents' and grant
them special rights and privileges.
