VICE PRESIDENT-PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Vision for the Consulting Association:

The Consulting Association plays a crucial role in providing exposure to all members to explore
and pursue consulting careers and my vision is to further extend and enhance these opportunities
to all members, irrespective of the nature of their future jobs, be it consulting firms or industry
roles at different organizations post MBA.
As a member of the Consulting Association, I thoroughly benefitted from the various workshops,
seminars, case preparation materials, and guidance from other members, which helped me
acquire the right skill set for case interviews as well as prepare well for numerous case
competitions. Having learned so much about the consulting industry, case competitions, case
analyses and presentations, I would like to pay it forward as VP, Project Management at the
Consulting Association. At this position, I envision enhancing the overall experience of all
members by helping them gain a holistic understanding of several elements of the consulting
world, and provide them an enhanced platform to have a deeper exposure to case preparations of
different industry types, nature of work and varied business functions.
Plan of Action:
 Summer Outreach Blog for incoming Students: Will share the journeys, challenges and
success stories of several first year and second year MBA’s, from the consulting industry
and other important/relevant industries to describe their experiences to the interested
incoming students. This will give them a clear idea about the nature of work, and will
help them have a head start and start preparation early in the process.
 Shall organize and conduct a series of workshops to prepare all members on various
aspects of networking events with companies. These workshops will consist of Guidance
on Small Talks, U.S. Business Language, Phone Etiquettes, Email and Appointment
Etiquettes, interview styles, phone case interview preparations, LinkedIn reach out
strategies, and other important elements of networking strategies with recruiters.

 Lastly, I intend to leverage my board membership experience at MBAA, to assist the

Consulting Association Board, in setting up conflict free schedules, logistics and overall
planning of all events, in conjunction and discussions with administration. This will also
include my initiative to assist the Board in working with other departments to provide our
members with different opportunities of consulting work within the university.
