This study assessed the implementation of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 in senior high schools of private secondary institutions in Puerto Princesa City. The majority of implementers were female, between 20-30 years old with less than 16 years of service and holding a bachelor's degree. The level of implementation of policies, programs, and procedures to handle bullying was found to be moderate. A significant relationship was found between implementer profiles and policy implementation levels, as well as prevention program implementation levels. School readiness was also found to significantly correlate with anti-bullying program implementation levels. No significant differences were found between respondent, teacher, and student ratings of implementation levels.

IMPLEMENTATION OF ANTI-BULLYING ACT OF 2013 (R.A. 10627) IN SENIOR


HIGH SCHOOLS AMONG SELECTED PRIVATE SECONDARY INSTITUTIONS IN
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY: AN ASSESSMENT

This study aimed to determine the level of implementation of Anti-Bullying Act in senior

high schools among selected private secondary institutions in Puerto Princesa City. The

descriptive and correlative methods of research were used to determine the significant

correlation between and among variables in the study. Frequency, percentages, t-test and the

Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient r were used to analyze the data.

Majority of the implementers were females between 20 to 30 years old, less than 16

years in the service, baccalaureate degree holders and attended school level trainings.

The level of implementation in terms of policy, intervention program and procedures in

handling bullying incidents were moderately implemented by the respondents. Meanwhile,

prevention programs and school readiness were perceived by implementers to be moderately

implemented ; while the students perceived these as implemented.

Significant relationship existed between the profile of the implementers and the level of

implementation of Anti-Bullying Act in terms of Policy; while in prevention program, significant

relationship existed towards age, gender,length of service and highest degree earned except

trainings attended. In intervention program, significant relationship existed except highest

degree earned and trainings attended while in procedures in handling bullying incidents, the

significant relationship did not exist in terms of length of service, highest degree earned and

trainings attended.

Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between the school readiness and the

level of implementation of anti-bullying program; but, no significant relationship existed between

the problems encountered and the level of implementation.

Moreover, there is no significant difference among the rating of the respondents,

teachers and students on the implementation level of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013; as well as

on the level of implementation of the Act between students who have experienced bullying and

those who have not.
