August 1947.Its official name is „Islamic Republic of Pakistan‟ reflecting its Islamic ideology.

Pakistan has four seasons which are summer, winter, autumn and spring. Pakistan lies in the
temperate zone. All these seasons are favorable for different crops like „Kharif‟, „Rabi‟, maize,
barley, various fruits and vegetables .The occupation of most of the people of Pakistan is
agriculture because of most favorable conditions available for the growth of several crops.
People of Pakistan are fond of eating more fruits, vegetables, chicken, meat, fish and pulses .The
national fruit of Pakistan is mango.
The flag of Pakistan has two colors white and green. Green color represents Muslim majority
while white color represents minorities. So Pakistan‟s flag is the symbol of prosperity and peace.
The right of minorities are also secured in Pakistan .The constitution which is being active in
Pakistan is the 1973 constitution with some amendments in It .It is parliamentary constitution
according to which Prime Minister is the head of government while President is the head of the
state .Pakistan has one of the most powerful armies in the world .Pakistan has gained nuclear
power in 1998 .Pakistan‟s army has fought three wars and gain victory that shows its
competence.
Although Pakistan is rich in natural resources , favorable environmental conditions and have
manpower, but because of low literacy rate, less technical equipment and poverty, this country is
still under developed .The education system is based on rote learning which does not produce
appreciative results .Moreover low budget, dishonest workers and negligence of students are also
playing a great role in the negative progress .The literacy rate of Pakistan is 59%7 that indicates
only those who can just read and write their own names .That means those who are highly
educated and can contribute positively are still less than 59%.The alarming situation is that
among those who are well educated and can contribute usually move abroad .So brain draining is
also a cause of less progress of the country.
Pakistan„s government should introduce new reforms, several scholarships and programs that
can change the scenario .As education and determination is a key to success. Moreover the
government should emphasize on the education of women, this will help to generate a bright
future .Last but not the least, the people of Pakistan should not forget their purpose for which
they have got this homeland .Pakistan was made in order to live life according to the teachings of
Islam .People should remember that purpose and should be sincere with their purpose and their
country so that a day would come when Pakistan will be a developed country.
