Overview
This document represents AIG SAP system access through RDS (remote desktop service) for the users
whom are remotely login and use SAP system from outside main branches and AIG network.

Purpose
The purpose of this document is to clarify the step by step procedure for the end users whom they have
access to SAP system through RDS on how to login the SAP system remotely and use the other
functionality of the RDS like document printing, upload and download documents and export to different
document extension. By the end of this document the user will be able to access the system through the
remote services.
RDS End User Access

Below is the URL for the end users to be executed in any of the browser which is installed on user’s
desktop or laptop.

1. Once open above URL, Login with Domain user credentials to enter
RDS Portal
Example: Astra\Test
Kindly Note: Every IT Manager should make sure end user should have access to domain
before login to RDS Portal
1.1 Once user is logged into RDS Portal below screen appears.
Click on SAP LOGON icon to access SAP GUI as shown below

1.2 Click on Connect when the RemoteApp screen pop-up to go to next screen. While
selecting the connect button ensure to select check box “Don’t ask me again for
remote connections from the publisher “
1.3 After the user is logged in SAP GUI below Screen appears. For first time user has to
contact the support team to add an entry for respective SAP system and once entry
is successfully created User can proceed to access the SAP system which is shown in
the next screen.

1.4 Login with SAP Logon Credentials.


1.5 Enter the desired transaction to export the report data into excel format like
MB51

1.6 Enter Plant and Posting Date and execute-

Procedure to Upload and Download Files
2. Download- While downloading files user can use local drives on his/her PC (C, D
or E) to store the downloaded file-

2.1 Export the data as per below-

2.2 Store the Exported excel file on to local pc drive.


2.3 The Report is exported to excel format and saved on local drive-
2.4 Upload File : use any desired SAP transaction to upload data such as ZMMC01
to upload bulk of material

2.4 Browse the required file stored in your local drive-


2.5 Execute to upload-
2.6 File is uploaded successfully-

3.0 Procedure for Printing.


3.1User can print directly documents using local printer.
3.2 Select Local Printer to print document as shown below screen.
