D. Required Readings
No required readings, but the expectation is that all uploaded videos and documents in the MS
Team are read and understood.
E. Suggested Readings:
Anyone with a grade of 50 and above using the formula will be given a grade according
to the grading system found below. Those who will fail to reach 50 will be required to take the
finals. Getting at least half the points in the finals will secure them a grade of 3.00; otherwise, a
grade of 5.00.
Note: Those who have passed using the formula are given the chance to take the finals
by trading their second highest quiz to the score they will get in their finals. Once they take the
finals, the formula for computing their grade will now be:
∑ 𝑄 − 𝑄𝐿𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑠𝑡 − 𝑄2𝑛𝑑 𝐻𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑡 + 𝐹𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑠
𝐹𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝐺𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑒 =
𝑁𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑄𝑢𝑖𝑧𝑧𝑒𝑠 − 1
G. Grading System
From To Equivalent
93.75 - 100 1.00
87.5 - 93.75 1.25
81.25 - 87.5 1.50
75 - 81.25 1.75
68.75 - 75 2.00
62.5 - 68.75 2.25
56.25 - 62.5 2.50
50 - 56.25 2.75
A grade of 3.00 is given to those who failed the quizzes but passed the finals.
A grade of 5.00 is given to those who failed the quizzes and the finals.
H. Classroom Policies
i. Materials will be uploaded in the MS Team created for the course. Any question arising
from the study of the materials may be sent thru the facebook groupchat, the MS Team
group, or an e-mail. They may be answered thru the same means or asked to wait for
the video conference for clarification.
ii. A video conference will be scheduled the week after the upload to discuss questions and
clarifications. It will be recorded to accommodate those with no or slow internet
connection. Please do note that questions sent before the conference will be prioritized
over real-time questions.
iii. Attendance in the video conference is not required.
iv. All policies in relation to uniforms, haircut and color, and video camera requirement are
lifted for this class. However, all students with the intent of turning their video on will be
required to wear appropriate attire for class, i.e. collared clothes.
v. All seatworks, assignments, and recitations will be recorded as additional points for the
upcoming quiz.
vi. Quizzes may be in the form of a written, oral, or any type of exam deemed necessary by
the instructor to gauge learning effectively.
vii. Synchronously administered examinations require all students to be present at the
exam schedule.
viii. Academic dishonesty will be subject to the punishment prescribed by the Student
Handbook.
