Company Overview

Future plc is a company based on media service production. It has two major segments, which

are included in the United Kingdom and the United States. The company has no branches apart

from the two segments. The company's R/O full postcode is BA1 1UA with a registered

Number-03757874. It includes two sub-segments, which are the magazines as well as the media.

The media part involves the creation of events and websites. This division includes revenue from

advertising digitally and revenue from e-commerce. Division from magazines involves

publishing magazines of personal interest

Internal Factors

Strengths

The company's strength has well-qualified employees who are experienced in customer services

by allowing media representation to the outside world. They can easily reach out to the audience

through social media platforms; this includes Facebook, Skype, Instagram, as well as other

platforms. An increase in customer services gears largely towards revenue growth. The company

receives a relative increase of about 11% every year on revenue services from customers. Apart

from customer services, the company has generated a competitive advantage over its

competitors. By the use of online forums and marketing, the company maximizes revenue

through this area. Technology is another factor that gears to the success of this company. Future

plc uses modern technological ways in implementing services; for example, due to the current

pandemic of COVID-19, the company has advanced greatly in e-commerce, in online

advertisements, as well as holding meetings through skype with its shareholders.

Weaknesses.

The company's weakness is on risk and uncertainties. The various risks present in the company's

daily activities include:

a) An environment of operation. There is a real risk of structural change to its working

environment and the pace of print transition. Print circulation volumes and advertising

revenues are at risk of declining faster than expected, and digital revenues are not

increasing at the rate expected.

b) Intellectual ownership. Future licenses and uses its licensees, including music, audio-

visual material, photos, images, and texts in different types of third-party content. As a

publisher, the Future is responsible for its licensees for any intellectual property or other

violation in respect of the licensee.

c) Procurements. The Group continues to find opportunities for acquisition growth. There is

a risk that any such purchase or its subsequent integration will fail to generate

shareholders' value.

These risks have contributed to problems that are described in the risks involved.

External Factors

Opportunities.

The greatest opportunity involved in Future plc is the market opportunity. Future plc involves

two major opportunities in the market. These are:

a) Market penetration. With the current rise of services in Future plc, the company is

involved in selling its services more into the existing market. This has helped the

company in diversifying new strategies for selling, for example, the use of online

advertisements to reach out to its potential customers.

b) Market development. Future plc is recognized as one of the best media companies in

the United Kingdom. It is widely known. It has extended its popularity to other

countries. The company has currently sold its product in new markets.

With these opportunities, the company is yet to make higher profits soon.

Threats

The external threats the company faces are competitors who are involved in the same industry as

the business. Key competitors to Future plc are four companies that run in the same industry as

Future Group. These four include Bluestacks, which is a company that diversify the usages of

users to run apps on mobile phones or televisions. Display, not technologies, is a company that

transits presentations used by various presenters as well as other participants. Fifty-Three is a

company that majors mainly with the production of applications that involve much in artistic

designs. Last but not least, Yapp Company generates applications for users to personalize their

own regarding the activities they are involved in.
