Math Enrichment Form
What interests you in working for Math Enrichment?
Throughout high school, I've always seen my education as something that deserves to be given back to the people around me. I've done service through my Interact Club and my Red Cross Club, and because of that, I feel that spreading my love of math is the equivalent of my previous community service endeavors. I want to empower these children as the future leaders of our world, to build their foundations in mathematics and equip them with the tools and skills necessary to solve problems not just in math, but in other relevant areas as well. Why would we want to further explore your application? I possess remarkable aptitude in communication and public speaking; given my past two years of experience, both of which involved weekly speeches to audiences of at least twenty high school students, I am a suitable candidate for interaction with the students involved in Math Enrichment. I am also a past attendee of ME; I am familiar with the daily schedule and Quimby Oak's campus. I can also show the students unconventional, yet effective ways to tackle math, ways that they may never have been exposed to before. Lastly, I can serve the students as more than just a math TA: my experience with college admissions (having been admitted to Harvard, Yale, MIT, Columbia, UC Berkeley, and UCLA) will give them more out of their experience should they need academic counseling.
