A. TECHNOLOGY PLAN
I. Course Design
a. Nominal Duration:
40 hours (30 hours online / 10 hours face-to-face)
b. Trainee Requirements:
● With basic computer knowledge
● With laptop/mobile phone
● Internet connection
c. Trainer Requirements:
● Must be a holder of National TVET Trainers Certificate (NTTC)
Level I in Machining NC II
● Must have at least 2 years industry experience
● Must have attended and/or has been involved in Machining
training, seminars, conventions or related activities in the last 5
years.
d. Monitoring and Grading System:
Built-in LMS Monitoring System such as log reports, activity
reports, and grade book shall be utilized to track the attendance
and learning progress of the trainees. The activity completion
tracker shall be enabled for the Trainee to monitor their own
progress.
e. Institutional Assessment System
Computer based Test – This is composed of multiple-choice tests
given online. The computer-based test shall only be available to the
scheduled trainee. If the trainee failed to take the test during the
designated time, he/she should notify the online mentor for another
schedule of tests. The trainee should be able to get at least 80% of
the correct answer to pass the test and to qualify for the
performance test.
Performance Test – This refers to the ability of the trainee to perform
the required skills in this unit of competency. Trainees will be given
specific tasks to perform with time allotment.
Portfolio assessment – This refers to the output as a requirement of
the competency being assessed. This portfolio assessment only
requires the trainee to install wiring devices for lighting and
auxiliary outlets.
f. Training Plan/Schedule
The training shall run for five (5) days. Three (3) days for online
learning and two (2) days for face-to-face that includes a practice
for the trainee and the performance test. A more detailed breakdown
of schedules, which include learning activities, deadline of
submission of outputs, and assessment, shall be indicated in the
study guide which will be uploaded to the LMS to serve as further
guidance to ensure completion of the program.
II. Training Package
A CBLM and Machining CBLM are prepared for the trainee which is
accessible in LMS that can be downloaded for offline use. The
eLearning material is a package consisting of web scripts, videos,
quizzes, and task sheets with performance criteria checklist. Training
materials for table set up will also be available in the Mechanical shop
room for practice and performance tests. The institutional competency
assessment is composed of computer-based tests on the LMS,
Performance test and Portfolio.

B. INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT SYSTEM
I. The Learning Management System
a. The Learning Management System (LMS) shall be utilized as the training
platform which can be accessed at www.e-tesda.gov.ph.

c. Course Overview
A study about the specific task performed by the Mechanical personnel.
The Machining NC II Qualification Consists Of Competencies That A Person Must
Achieve To Set Up And Operate A Variety Of Machine Tools To Perform Precision
Machining Operations. Specifically, This Training Regulation in Machining
Covers Turning, Milling, Precision Grinding and Bench Work.
● . This Module covers all the Competencies as required by TESDA’s
Training regulation before taking National Certification Level II on
Machining.

e. Enrolment System
● Trainees shall be manually enrolled to the LMS and shall be
provided with their respective user credentials

● The following built-in LMS monitoring tools shall be used in
monitoring the progress of the learners.

g. Learner Support System
● Online trainers shall be online to respond to trainees’ queries from
8:00 AM to 5 :00 PM weekdays through the following mechanism:
o Text messaging: Personal number/s of the trainers
o Facebook Messenger: personal account of the trainers
o Chat Group : Group messenger
o Discussion Forum: Use of Zoom or Google meet on the
scheduled time. ID # will be provided

i. Learning Materials
The following learning materials shall be used in the training:
● Interactive learning materials with pretest, self-check, and
posttest – the interactive e learning materials were developed by
School personnel. The eLearning materials were bundled by
learning outcome. The eLearning materials have the following
parts:
1. Learning Objectives
2. Learning Contents
3. Interactive Learning Activities
4. Self-checks with auto feedback
5. Task Sheets with Performance Criteria Checklist
Task Sheets and Performance Criteria Checklists are
downloadable from the eLearning materials so that the task
sheets may be done offline.
❖ Computer based exams – self scoring computer based self-
checks and quizzes serve as practice exercises for Trainee.
They are made available per learning outcome.
❖ Submission Bins –uploading interfaces for particular output
(e.g. menu card) are provided on the LMS. The trainee shall
upload their outputs for trainer evaluation and download the
comments and suggestions of the online mentor through this
interface. A notification email is sent by the LMS both to the
participant and the online mentor in case of submission to
these interfaces.
❖ Discussion Forum is where a Trainee can communicate with
other Trainees. This component of the LMS is not a live
discussion area but all enrolled Trainees will be able to see
all posts and replies. This component will encourage
discussion of the topics being learned.
❖ Video Conferencing will also be done using the Google meet.
Google meets will be recorded for Trainees who failed to
participate in the discussions.
