    Every man passes through various stages of life at different periods.

    It is incumbent on each of us to play


    that particular role with utmost honesty, sincerity, and integrity and dedicate all the powers of the mind
    to the fulfilment of that role.

    The first and foremost role if a student then is to fulfil the requirements of his life. He must ask himself
    the question, “what am I to do to be a good student?” Of course, as a student his main duty is to apply
    himself to his studies. This is preparatory time. It is a probation for life, a period in which you prepare
    yourself for the great and grave task of life, of all the things to be acquired in this life, intellectual
    acquisition is the most difficult one. To acquire knowledge, to awaken, intellectual faculties is then the
    second task of student. And this surely is no facile task. It requires focusing of all one’s energies and
    faculties to this central point. Knowledge, wisdom, and self-respect is the third task. And these come to
    the student through books and through guidance of erudite people and good professors and he must
    keep in touch with both.
    Lastly, the role of a student is to give and take respect in return…
