NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for appointment to the post of
Programmer in the University Computer Centre, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

Qualifications
General : B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a minimum of
First class in aggregate from a recognized University in India.
OR
MCA after completing a regular full time course from any
recognized University in India with a minimum of First class in
aggregate.
OR
M.Sc (Computer Science) after completing B.Sc (Computer
Science) or BCA where both graduate and post graduate degrees
were awarded after completing regular full time courses of
recognized Universities in India with minimum of First class for
both graduation and post graduation. Relaxation in percentage of
marks for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
Relaxation is allowed in percentage marks to the tune of 10% for
SC/ST candidates and 5% for OBC candidates eligible for
reservation.
Technical : Experience
1. Experience in using latest RDBMS tools in network
environment with server class Operating System.
2. Experience in using Web programming tools.
3. Experience in the installation and maintenance of systems
based on client-server architecture.
Desirable
1. Two years experience in the areas mentioned above in the
case of candidates possessing B.Tech/M.Sc/MCA Degree.
2. Consistently good academic track record from 10th Standard
onwards.
3. Very good score in papers like Computer Networks and
Data Base Management Systems.
Age : Not more than 35 years as on 01.01.2010
Scale of pay : R 12930-20250
Fees : Cost of Application – R 350/-
Registration fee – R 500/-
(R 125/- for SC/ST Candidates)
The appointment will be in accordance with Section (6) Subsection (2) of the Chapter
11 of the Kerala University Act 1974.
The format of application form can be downloaded from the official website of the
University www.Keralauniversity.ac.in. Downloaded application shall be accompanied by
DD/ Chalan for R 10/- in addition to prescribed fee.
Mode of Remittance
Completed Original application along with four (4) photocopies of filled up application
DD/Pay in Slip for the prescribed registration fee, passport size photographs recently taken,
attested copies of Certificates, testimonials etc 5 (sets) should reach the Deputy Registrar
(Admn.II), University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 034 on or before ……………….
Candidates who are employed should forward their applications through proper
channel.
Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST are eligible for relaxation in upper age limit as
per existing rules.
Candidates belonging to OBC have to produce the certificate that they do not belong to
the Creamy layer, as contemplated in GO (A) No.36/2000/SC/STDD dated 27.05.2000.
Candidates if required, should appear for an interview at Thiruvananthapuram at their
own expense.
