Dear Candidate,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been provisionally shortlisted to attend the Written Test to be held for the post of Jr. Engineer (Civil) in our Organization.
The Written Test will consist of 100 objective type multiple choice questions. [General Awareness 10 marks & Concerned Discipline / Technical Aptitude 90 marks].
1. You are requested to appear for the Written Test at the allotted Test Centre on the date and time specified above. Please affix your recent color passport size self-
attested photograph same as uploaded while applying Online and sign across the photo.
2. Candidate should also bring their Photo ID Proof in original for verification purpose. Photo ID Proof may include any one of the following: (i) Election ID Card (ii)
PAN Card, (iii) Driving License, (v) Passport (vi) Aadhaar Card etc. IN ABSENCE OF ORIGINAL PHOTO ID PROOF, CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER
IN THE TEST CENTRE PREMISES.
3. Candidates are required to download the Admit Card from the website www.nbccindia.com. The date for downloading of admit card will be declared on NBCC
website. Admit Cards will not be dispatched through post / courier.
4. This Admit Card should be brought to the Test Centre and handed over to the Room Invigilator. The Candidate has to sign in the presence of the Invigilator only.
5. This Admit Card is issued under the assumption that you meet all the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the press advertisement and that all the data furnished in
the Application Form submitted by you are correct. However, at any stage, if it is found that you do not meet any of the eligibility criteria / any of the data
furnished by you is incorrect, it would disqualify your candidature / appointment in NBCC. Hence the candidate is provisionally permitted to appear for the
Written Test.
6. Issue of Admit Card for the Written Test does not confer any right of Acceptance of candidature and should not be construed as an acknowledgement of fulfilling
the eligibility criteria.
7. You should reach the Test Centre before the reporting time as mentioned above. Late comers will not be permitted to appear in the Written Test and No entry will
be allowed after 10:30 AM.
8. Request for change of Written Test Centre / Venue / Date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
9. Please read the instructions on Question Booklet carefully before start of the examination.
10. Candidates should bring only Blue/Black Ball Point Pen for marking the OMR Answer Sheet. Marking with any other type of pen is NOT ALLOWED.
11. After the examination is over, handover the OMR Answer sheet along with Admit Card to the invigilator before leaving the examination room. Candidate can
retain the Question Booklet with themself.
12. Please keep a copy of the admit card for future reference, as this Original Admit Card will be collected from you at the Written Test venue.
13. Please note that this letter does not constitute an offer of employment to you.
14. Any attempt to influence / malpractice at the venue will lead to disqualification of candidature. Canvassing in any form by the candidate would entail his/her
disqualification.
15. Scribe shall be provided to PWD (VH) candidates, if required. The additional time shall also be provided as per extant instructions.
16. All Multiple Choice Questions carry equal marks. There will be No negative marking for wrong answers. No mark will be awarded or deducted for not attempting a
question.
17. SC/ST/PWD candidates are eligible for reimbursement of Travelling Allowance (TA) (3rd AC in case of E-0 level to E-3 level posts and second class in case of S-2
to W-3) rail fare or bus fare from the nearest railway station/bus stand of the declared place of residence by the shortest route beyond 30 Km. on production of
proof of journey undertaken and onward journey,(on production of original railway/bus ticket and SC/ST caste/ PWD disability certificate) failing which No TA will
be Paid. TA claim is to be submitted online by the candidates. The link for submission of the TA claim will be provided on our website for 7 days from the date of
examination.
18. For any unresolved admit card query the candidate is advised to email at [email protected] latest before 5 days of examination by 6.00 PM.
19. DO NOT BRING MOBILE PHONES/SCANNING DEVICES/ANY ELECTRONIC GADGET TO THE TEST CENTRE; PLEASE NOTE THAT, NO ARRANGEMENT FOR STORING
THESE WILL BE MADE AT THE TEST CENTRE AND THESE ITEMS ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE CENTRE.
20. Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the examination session.
Note: Question paper and Answer Key will be available on website after 2 days of examination. Feedback regarding questions and Keys (If any) can be submitted on
website only for next 7 days. No queries and representation shall be entertained after this period. Feedback received other than through website i.e. by e-mail, personal
representation will not be entertained.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING THE OMR ANSWER SHEET


OMR Answer sheets are scanned by machine to compute the scores. Accuracy in scoring is dependent on the examinees marking their answer sheets properly.
Therefore, accurate scoring is dependent on your strict adherence to the following instructions:
1. Every question has four answer options. Mark the answer option number by darkening only the corresponding oval on the answer sheet using BLUE/BLACK BALL POINT PEN
ONLY.

2. Mark answer only in the space provided. Darken ONLY ONE OVAL for each answer. If you darken more than one oval or any stray mark is found on more than one oval, your
answer will be treated as Wrong Answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct.
3. The method of shading the OVAL has been indicated in “Important Instructions” on the OMR Answer Sheet and these must be strictly followed.
4. DO NOT fold or wrinkle the OMR Answer Sheet. Rough work MUST NOT be done on the OMR Answer Sheet. Use the space for rough work given at the end of the Question
Booklet.
