Parking Management System': Project Proposal

This document proposes a C-language based parking management system to address problems with the existing paper-based system. The system will allow administrators to enter, view, update, search and delete vehicle information to streamline the parking process. It aims to reduce errors from imprecise timing and make information management faster and more reliable by storing data in portable text files. The system will be tested initially for applications like society parking, schools, colleges and malls.

INTRODUCTION
This C Programming based, executable program is the management system which
can be used to store the vehicles information in Parking Areas.
The propose of this project is to eliminate the paper-works and unmanaged
recordings of information which may cause problems during the parking payments and
further uses.
The Program is easy to use, fast and resource friendly.

EXISTING PROBLEMS
Following problems were found during the project analysis.
• Paper and Register used to store information.
• No proper management for storing and updating data.
• No precise entry of time, causing more/less payment.

OBJECTIVES
Following purposes are meant to be fulfilled by this project.
• To create fast, reliable and easy information management system.
• Portable and reusable [.txt] file data storing.
• Information Search and Updates.

LIMITATIONS
There are the following limitations currently on this project.
• Unique Id for each vehicle is lacking
• Vehicles with same number plates can be added more than once

PROJECT REQUIREMENT
Following accessories are required for the project completion:

 Society’s Paid Parking
 School and College Parking
 Mall Parking

USER ROLES
There is only one panel, admin.
The tasks of ADMIN are:

 Enter Vehicle Information

o Vehicle Type (4 Wheeler / 2 Wheeler)
o Pradesh No.
o Vehicle Plate Number
 View all parked vehicle information
 Delete vehicle’s data
 Update information
 Search parked vehicles by plate number.
