Warm Up / Introduction

Copy the objectives on the board and ask questions to students about the previous class, let all the Ss
participate.
Warm up: Communication activity: Toilet paper. Pass around a roll of toilet paper and tell Ss they can get as
much as they want (it needs to be the one with the dotted lines). After all of them have taken some, they’ll
have to give as many pieces of information about themselves as the number of “squares” they took from the
paper.
Group review: Ss work in groups and do the exercises 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. on page 36. T monitors each group at a time.

Activity 1:
Give a detailed but brief lecture about the meaning and forms of have and have got. Allow questions.
Pair work: Instruct Ss to do the Ex. 17 on page 33. Then get them to take turns and read the questions aloud.
Instruct students to look at the pictures and listen to the conversations and complete the chart. Compare with
a partner.
Ss write sentences using the verb have/have got. Then they share their sentences with a partner.
Possessive adjectives and possessive case: Give example and have students give more examples on the board.
Group work: Students work in groups and read the examples and then do the Ex. 19 and 20, Pg. 33. Compare
answers.

Grammar: Prepositions of place: Students observe the pictures on pg. 34 and then do Ex. 21. In pairs.
Ss work in groups. Books closed, copy Ex. 23, Pg. 35, on the board. They listen and choose the correct word.
Then they open the books and read the article. Finally they answer the questions on Ex. 24 and compare.

Activity 3:
Divide the class in two groups. Each group has to write a list of nouns on the board with a different color
marker. Then they try to write the plural forms. The group which has fewer mistakes wins the game.

Wrap up: Assign HW, and have Ss stand in a circle, have them choose one word to describe how they feel, have
them pass or throw a stuffed animal or soft toy around, to determine who gets to speak.
HW: Assign a writing activity for homework: they have to bring the letter in an envelope addressed to a
classmate. (Exs. 26&27 pg 35 St. Bk serve as a model)
