OPEN CORRIDOR TO FENESTRATIONS OF THE DWELLING UNITS

 THE VENTILATIONS FROM THE TOILETS ARE COVERED WITH


PROPER MESHES OF SMALL SEAVES

 SUN SHADES ARE AT A LENGTH OF 70 CENTIMETERS.


 A double layer skin using hollow terracotta blocks

 Help the interior cooler and shields from heavy moisture during the monsoon.

 Cavity between the double wall provides a continuous air flow venting out hot air via roof thus keeping interior
walls cooler
 HORIZONTAL TRELLIS WORK COVER RAIN WATER  HORIZONTAL LANDSCAPES EXTEND INTO VERTICAL
PIPES ACT AS FAÇADE TREATMENT AND ALSO GARDENS.
ENCOURAGES VERTICAL COVER  THE WINDOWS ARE ENCLOSED BY THIS VERTICAL
 FOR THE FIRE PIPE ALSO THEY HAD PROVIDED THE GARDENS WHICH ARE ALLIGNED IN THE SOUTH-WEST
SAME TRELLIS. DIRECTION TO PREVENT RADIATION.
 THE IDEA WAS TO BASICALLY USE NATURAL OR
RECYCLED MATERIALS WHEREVER POSSIBLE.

 FLOORING IS DONE USING TERRACOTTA WHICH


BESIDES BEING A NATURAL BUILDING MATERIAL.

 ALSO INCREASES CONFORT LEVEL BY BRINGING IN


COOLNESS.THE USE OF PRIMITIVE,RUSTIC TEXTURES
INSTEAD OF REFINED,POLISHED TEXTURES TAKES
ONE BACK IN TIME,WHILE STILL ENJOYING THE
COMFORTS OF MODERN LIVING.

 A TASTE FOR INDIAN ART WORK HAS RESULTED IN AN EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF VARIOUS ARTIFACTS OVER THE
YEARS THAT ADD CHARACTER TO THE INTERIORS .THESE HAVE BEEN PLACED IN NICHES WITH STONE IN EXPOSED
MASONRY WALLS.
 INTERPLAY OF TEXTURES FOR THE FLOORING IS COMPOSED BY THE INTERLOCKING UNPOLISHED GRANITE AND
POLISHED TERRACOTTA TILES.
 RECYCLED WOOD,EXPOSED BRICK,PRUSSIAN BLUE,WHITE,TERRACOTTA,UNPOLISHED GRANITE,BAMBOO SCREEN
CURTAINS;T-2 INTERIOR IS A SUM OF ALL THESE HUMBLE MATERIALS AND COLORS.THE SPLATTER OF BLUE
AGAINST THE RED-BROWN BRICK AND TERRACOTTA UPLIFT THE INTERIORS WHILE THE PURE WHITE NEUTRALIZES
THE BLUE.
 THE USE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS FOR FURNITURE INCREASES
THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE HOME.RECYCLED WOOD FROM
AN OLD HOUSE IS USED TO MAKE FRAMES OF DOORS AND
WINDOWS .

 THE KITCHEN CABINETS ARE MADE OF PACKING CASES AND


CONTAINER WOOD USED FOR SHIPPING IN EXPORTED
GOODS.

 ANTIQUE WOOD IN DIFFERENT FORMS ADD TIMELESS


CHARACTER TO THE SPACES.THE CAREFULLY CRAFTED
INTERIORS,THE COLOURS AND THE TEXTURES POLISH IT OFF
AND PROVIDE THE PERFECT BACK DROP FOR A DAY OF QUIET
MUSING OR READING.

 KEEPING THE CLIENT REQUIREMENTS AND CONSTRAINS OF THE


MODERN NUCLEAR FAMILY IN MIND,THE SPACES ARE DESIGNED
SO THAT THEREBY,INTERACTION BETWEEN FAMILY MEMBERS IS
ENSURED
 NO SEPERATE "DINING"AREA HAS BEEN
ALLOCATED.

 BUT INSTEAD,SPACE IS DESIGNED TO BE


A PART OF THE KITCHEN ,

 SO THAT IT MAY BE USED BOTH AS A


DINING SPACE AND AS A WORK SPACE
DURING NON-MEAL TIMES.

 THUS RAPPORT IS INCREASED BETWEEN


THE FAMILY MEMBERS AND WHOEVER
TAKES ON THE ROLE OF 'CHEF OF THE
DAY'IN THE KITCHEN.

 THE INTERIOR DESIGNING IS UPTO THE CLIENTS.

 THERE ARE NO PATRICIAN WALLS BETWEEN THE FAMILY LIVING AND THE PUBLIC LIVING.

 HUMAN RELATIONS ARE BEING PRESERVING HERE BY THE OPENNESS .

LANDSCAPE FEATURES.
 THE ENTIRE COURT PLANNING IS VEHICULAR-FREE
AND DISABLED-FRIENDLY WITH RAMPS
CONNECTING ALL THE LEVELS
 AS A COMMUNITY THAT AIMS TO BE
SUSTAINABLE,RIVERSONG ALSO HAS A SOLAR
PLANT ON THE ROOF,WITH 11 PANELS
PRODUCING 37.5KV.THIS HAS BEEN SUPPORTING
USING SOLAR.
 THE TEMPORARY COVERED TERRACE AREA HAS
3 ZONES.THIS INCLUDES A PARTY AREA FOR THE
RESIDENTS AND SOLAR PANELS WITH THE
SPACE BELOW PROVIDING SPACE FOR THE
RESIDENTS TO HANG LAUNDRY.

 A NON-AIR CONDITIONED GYM WITH


EFFECTIVE CROSS VENTILATION AND BREEZE
,READING AREA AND SPACE FOR PLAYING
TABLE-TENNIS HAVE ALSO BEEN PROVIDED.
 WASTE MATERIALS GENERATED ON SITE HAVE BEEN
EXTENSIVELY REUSED TO CREATE NEW ELEMENTS.
 BROCKEN BRICKS IS USED TO DETAIL THE RETAINING WALL.

TO CREATE CUSTOM
DESIGNED BOLLARDS ON
SITE.
 SEASONED BAMBOO
SECTION SUSPENDED FROM
THE CEILING AONG WITH
THE TERRACOTTA TILE PIXEL
ART ON THE LOBBY WALLS.
 A PLAY AREA FOR KIDS HAS BEEN PLANNED ON ONE END OF THE SITE KEEPING
WITH THE UNDULATING TERRAIN OF THE HILLOCK AND A SWIMMING POOL ON
THE OTHER SIDE.
 THE APPARTMENT HAS LARGE GARDEN AREA ON THE THREE SIDES EXCEPT THE
FRONT.
 AFTER THE SEDIMENTATION OF SOLID PARTICLES THE OVERFLOWING WASTE
WATER FROM THE SEPTIC TANK MIXED WITH THE WATER AND SPRINKING TO
THE GARDEN USING SPRINKLERS.
 DUE TO THE BACTERIAL INFECTION THIS PROCESS HAPPENDS ONLY TWICE IN A
WEEK.
 SWIMMING POOL IS IN THE NORTH WEST SIDE OF THE APARTMENT

 CANOPY PLACED ABOVE THE COURTYARD. IN CASE OF LOW PRESSURE WIND, IT WILL NOT LET THEM IN . MEANS THE
WIND PATH WONT DISTURB BY THE CANOPY

 BUT IN CASE OF THE HIGH PRESSURE WIND , THE CAP OF THE CANOPY OPENS AND THE WIND WILL PASS THROUGH IT.
SO THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE WIND WILL CONVERT TO LOW PRESSURE WIND.
 THERE ARE 3 STAIRCASES AND ONE
LIFT IN THE APARTMENT.

 FIRST STAIRCASE IS FOR COMMON

 SECOND STAIRCASE IS FOR THE
