Audit Finding

The audit found that manpower planning for A checks of an A320 aircraft was done without considering the maintenance planning document man-hours and the certifying staff names were not included. The same number of aircraft maintenance engineers were allocated for different A checks even though the man-hours differed. The root cause was a lack of effective man-hour and manpower planning. Corrective actions included planning maintenance based on work order due dates, aircraft utilization, logistics, and manpower. Preventive actions instructed allocating manpower based on man-hour requirements for each maintenance activity.
