PHY-552: Methods of Mathematical Physics-II 3 (3 - 0)

This document provides an overview of the course PHY-552: Methods of Mathematical Physics-II. The course covers various mathematical techniques including Fourier series, Fourier and Laplace transforms. It also covers special functions such as Hermite, Laguerre, Legendre polynomials and Bessel functions. Nonhomogeneous equations are also discussed including Green's functions and their application to solving boundary value problems and the Sturm-Liouville problem. The course recommends 7 textbooks for further reference on mathematical methods for physics.
