Greetings of Hope! Our lives turned 360 degrees in just a blink of an eye. Everyone should be in
their house for safety for almost seven (7) months now. Before the opening of this school year under this
pandemic and global crisis, we would like to give you activities that will help you to prepare and be ready
for SY 2020-2021.

The rise of cases of Covid19 in our locality has grown significantly higher from community transmission.
This situation calls for everyone to be more careful and vigilant at all times.

As directed by the Department of Education, a weeklong provision of Psychosocial Activities should be

given to the learners/students for the evaluation and mental health preparedness, thus, this module is
created.

LESSON 1: VALIDATING FEELINGS AND NORMALIZING REACTIONS

DISCUSSION
EXPLORE

Hi! How are you all feeling today?

How has it been since the start of the community quarantine? Classes are about to start
again and this is how we will conduct classes, but before we can do that, it is important that we
talk about you first. Before we begin, can you make sure that you have a pen and paper with
you please?

Activity 1: PIE-LINGS (PIE GRAPH OF FEELINGS)

So, I want to ask, Kumusta kayo? This is strange feeling that we are experiencing, don’t
you agree? So how are you? … Are you okay?... Not okay? ... Were you not okay four months
ago? But okay now?... So many different kinds of questions, but just really trying to know how
have you been holding up with the COVID 19 pandemic and all the things that´s been
happening around us .

Can I ask you to identify about five (5) feelings or emotions that you have experienced
during the past few months/weeks or days? I will give you time to think about it…

Using the sheet of paper, can you create a pie graph of the feelings that you may have felt
during the crisis situations that you experienced? Try to represent the percentages of time that
you were feeling that way. Rate each feeling based on how much or how often you felt that
way over the past few months/weeks/days. I will give you 5 minutes to do this activity. After 5
minutes you can re-write the graph on the answer sheet attached to this lesson.

This is what a Pie

Graph looks like.
Can you draw one?
