Content Standard: The learner understands the different types of emotions and how they are expressed.
Performance Standard: The learner identify ways to communicate and manage emotions in a healthy
manner.

Week 10, Session 20


Learning Competencies:
After discussing the subject matter, the learners will be able to:
1. Explain that understanding the intensity and differentiation of emotions may help in
communicating emotional expressions.

Specific Objectives:
 identify how emotions affect our lives
 differentiate IQ (Intellectual Quotient) from EQ (Emotional Quotient/Intelligence)
 demonstrate ways to manage emotional reactions

1. Introduce ACTIVITY 1- INTRODUCTION TO EMOTIONS ( Refer to reader page 56)
First part - defines emotion or feelings
Second part – students list times they felt certain emotions
Read out the definitions of different emotions. Ask students translation in Filipino.
2. Conduct ACTIVITY 2 – EXPLORING EMOTIONS

A. Guided Practice
1. Students will write about a time when they felt the emotions in spaces provided in Activity 2.
(Reader p56)
2. Conduct ACTIVITY 3 – I AM ….. (/Reader page 56, Examples Reader page 57)
Students will complete each statement based on how they feel.
