A. Course overview
This course explores English word classes, such as, noun, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs, the
focused tenses, including, simple present, present continuous, past tense, past continuous
tense, and present perfect, modals, requires learners to apply them in written and spoken
context critically, logically, and systematically with high academic integrity based on catholic
values

B. Learning Objectives
1. Sub-CPMK 1: Able to understand and analyze the English word classes, including,
nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs in written and spoken context
2. Sub- CPMK 2: Able to understand and analyze the use of modals in written and spoken
context
3. Sub-CPMK 3: Able to understand and analyze the focused tenses, such as, simple
present, present continuous, past tense, past continuous tense, and present perfect, in
written and spoken form
4. Sub-CPMK 4: Able to apply word classes, the focused tenses, and modals in written and
spoken context critically, logically, and systematically with high academic integrity
based on catholic values

spoken context during online independent practice
