Quarter III round-up


Account Blueprints
Account Blueprints help you streamline PPC workflows and keep teams at the top of their game. With Blueprints,
you can track and manage operations across accounts by creating and tracking efficient workflows. Design
workflows for onboarding new clients, to complete recurring tasks like audits, and even to quickly integrate new
hires.

Updates in shopping tools
● Additional data for approved products in Feed Analysis -
Optmyzr now displays a Merchant ID’s approved products in
both absolute (e.g. 25 out of 100 and relative (25% terms.
You can find this information under ‘Quick Insights’ on your
Account Dashboard. You can quickly see if a large number of
products in your feed have been disapproved and are not
being advertised.
● Product Selection in Shopping Campaign Builder 2.0  You
can choose to advertise on particular set of products (e.g. all
the products other than product type “shoes”) and the tool
will remember your selections. This means, that the Shopping
Campaign Refresher 2.0 will not generate suggestions for
such products.
Updates in Rule Engine
● Create SKAGs for Google Ads [Beta]: Now you can automatically create single-keyword ad groups (SKAGs)
for high-performing search queries in Google Ads using the Rule Engine. Use our recommended settings or
customize the strategy to your needs.
● Support for placements: You can build custom strategies to optimize where your Display ads show, including
on apps.
● Adjust Bids by Geo Locations: Aggregate data for the same locations at the account level or across multiple
campaigns, identify new cities or regions driving traffic to your account or locations where your campaigns
aren’t performing well.
● Import Strategies More Easily: You can now search by account name or ID when copying Rule Engine
strategies.

Note: Legacy accounts do not have access to the Rule Engine. If you’re unable to see it, contact [email protected] and we’ll
migrate you to a new subscription plan.
New Instant Strategies in Rule Engine
● Maximize Conversions Bidding Strategy: This new instant strategy for campaigns running on the ‘Maximize
Conversions’ automated bidding strategy enables you to:
○ Audit and analyze the performance of these campaigns
○ Find ideal times to shift campaigns to a target CPA or manual bid strategy to improve performance

● Find and exclude mobile app placements: with zero conversions in bulk.

● Find Expensive Cities Reduce bid adjustments for cities that either have a higher CPA than the average or
have no conversions despite having a high number of clicks in a campaign.

● Find New Cities: Find out which new cities (if any) are starting to direct traffic to your campaigns over the
last 14 days compared to the previous period.

● Target Cost per Click: Set geo bid adjustments for countries, regions, and cities based on the target average
cost per click (CPC you want to achieve.

● Target Cost per Conversion: Set geo bid adjustments for countries, regions, and cities based on the target
cost per conversion you want to achieve.
Improvements to Search Term NGrams
● Add multiple negative keywords together: Use the ‘Actions’ button to select multiple n-grams to add as
negative keywords.

● Sort data by any metric: Sort data by cost or clicks to see which n-grams are driving the most traffic.

● Get access to more data: The CSV download now includes up to to 10,000 rows of data instead of 100. A
new download option was added that aggregates n-grams data by campaigns and ad groups.

● Ease of use: Collapse the search terms word cloud when you want to analyze the data in the table.
Search by campaign name or filter by campaign labels to see data for specific campaigns.
Fixes & Additions to Other Tools
● New Audits Widgets Added in PPC Policy and Audits: you can now perform the following actions in your
accounts:
○ Find ad groups with no or few keywords
○ Audit Dynamic Search Ad (DSA groups in campaigns
○ Find campaigns with too few DSAs
○ Find ad groups with duplicate ads
○ Find conflicting negative keywords

● Easier Merchant ID Sync: This ease-of-use improvement makes the linking of merchant feeds smoother
and faster, allowing you to use the Shopping Campaign Builder and other shopping tools more easily.

● Copy tracking templates: You can now copy over tracking templates when creating new ads in the Ad
Text Optimization, Responsive Search Ads and A/B Testing for Ads tools.

● Custom conversions in Reporting: are added in five reporting widgets (KPI, Summary, Timewise, Metric
trend, and Performance comparison).
