This function introduces several basic functions of InteliGen and InteliSys Combi application.

1) How to change the application mode SPtM/SPI/MINT


2) User mask function – view the synchroscope at the main screen while synchronizing
3) User buttons – quick link between particular screens
4) Cleaning mode

Description
What is the Combi application about?
NT NT
The default application of InteliGen Combi and InteliSys Combi is the SPtM application. The SPI
and MINT applications can be activated during the “emergency manual” state only.

1) How to change the application SPtM/SPI/MINT


Related binary inputs:

To change the application from the SPtM to SPI application close both BI: Emerg. manual and BI: SPI
Enable and after that open BI: Emerg. manual only. The controller is set to SPI application now.

To change the application from the SPtM to MINT application close both BI: Emerg. manual and BI:
MultipleEnable and after that open BI: Emerg. manual only. The controller is set to MINT application
now.

To change the application from either SPI or MINT to the default SPtM application close the BI:
Emerg. manual and open either BI: SPI Enable or BI: MultipleEnable. After that open the BI: Emerg.
manual. The controller is set to SPtM application now.

Another way of changing the SPtM application to either SPI or MINT one is by switching on BI: SPI
Enable / BI: MultipleEnable before switching on the power supply of the controller to activate SPI /
MINT application. In this case is not necessary to use BI: Emerg. manual to change the application.

2) User mask function – view the synchroscope at the main screen


while synchronizing
This function ensures that the powermeter on the main screen of InteliVision 5 is replaced by
synchroscope while the controller is synchronizing.
Step 1 - Open the ScreenEditor and select the Powermeter at the main screen. In the left you can find
the instrument properties. Set “Mask type = Hide”, select User mask 1.
Step 2 – Place the instrument “Synchroscope” on the same position as Powermeter and set in
instrument properties option “Mask type = Show” and select User mask 1.
Step 3 – Opent the roll menu LBI and assign the PLC output “Synchronizing” to LBI: ”User mask 1”.
The PLC output “Synchronizing is the result of OR operation of two LBO: ForwardSynchro,
ReverseSynchro.

While any type of synchronization is active the Powermeter is hidden and Synchroscope gets shown
at the main screen.

3) User buttons – quick link between particular screens


Sometimes it can be useful to have the option of fast access to the main screen without the rolling
through all screen of the display. This function ensures the fast link to the main screen from any other
screen.

Step 1 – Open the ScreenEditor select InteliVision 5.Go to the menu Screen structure and find the list
of SoftKey screens. Using the right button copy/paste method create the new screen Soft key 2.
Step 2 – Remove e.g. the MODE link from the right corner and replace it by the new SoftKeyLink.
Rename the new SoftKey in Intsrument properties.

Step 3 – Select any screen and in it´s Instrument properties select the option soft key screen – Soft
key 2.
Now you can assign this new SoftKey screen to all screens except the main screen.

4) Cleaning mode
Use the LBI Cleaning to set the gen-set to cleaning mode. Under voltage and under frequency
protections are blocked in this mode (Gener protect: Gen>V BOC, Gen<V BOC, Gen>f, Gen<f). It
allows to switch off the excitation of generator while the gen-set is washed. Under voltage and under
frequency protections are not active and do not stop the engine. Yellow warning Cleaning appears in
alarm list.

Note:
RPM of the gen-set has to be measured using pick up or via ECU. It is not possible to evaluate the
RPM form frequency of the generator voltage when cleaning mode is in use.

Warning !!!
Be aware that activation LBI Cleaning ensures only that under voltage and under frequency protection
is not active and allows gen-set to run with frequency and voltage out of limits of protections.
Activating of this input does not ensures that the voltage excitation is realy switched off. The excitation
of the generator has to be unconditionally switched off directly on the AVR of generator while the
cleaning function is in use!
