LAB General 6 (Assignment) PDF

This document contains the work of a student named Abdullah Arshad completing four tasks related to parallel circuits. It includes circuit diagrams and descriptions of the steps taken. For each task, the student measures voltage and current at different points in parallel circuits containing two or more resistors. The student observes that in parallel circuits, voltage remains the same across components while current divides between paths.

Task 1
Parallel Circuit and its Characteristics:
Parallel circuit:
It is defined as a closed circuit where the current is divided into two or
more paths. The total current in the circuit is equal to the sum of the all currents.

Characteristics:
Following are some characteristics for a parallel circuit:
 Voltage remain same in a Parallel circuit
 In a parallel circuit current is divide.
 Voltage is measured in Parallel circuit.
 Current is same at starting point or at ending point.
 Current (A) is not same at all points.
 This circuit has two or more paths for flow of current.

TASK 2
Steps for task 2:
1. First of all, take battery of 220V.
2. Take two (2) resistors of 33Kohms.
3. Connect +ve terminal of battery with multi-meter1.
4. Connect –ve terminal of multi-meter1 with the leg of resistor R2.
5. Connect–ve terminal of battery with -ve Terminal of multi-meter 2
6. Connect +ve Terminal of multi-meter 2 with leg of a resistor R2 of 33k.
7. Connect the legs of resistor R1 of 33k with legs of R2.
8. Ground the current from negative terminal of the battery.

OUTPUT
TASK 3

Steps for Task 3:

1. Take a battery of 150 V
2. Take two (2) resistors of 1100Ω OR 1600Ω.
3. Connect +ve terminal of battery with multi-meter1.
4. Connect –ve terminal of multi-meter1 with the leg of resistor R2.
5. Connect–ve terminal of battery with -ve Terminal of multi-meter 2
6. Connect +ve Terminal of multi-meter 2 with leg of a resistor R2 of 1600 Ω.
7. Connect the legs of resistor R1 of 1100 Ω with legs of R2 of 1600 Ω.
8. Ground the current from negative terminal of the battery.

Circuit Diagram

Output

Result: The Current is dropped in this Parallel Circuit because we connect more than
One resistor. The current is divided into the different path when we connect two or more
resistors .So the current is dropped in parallel circuit.
TASK 4

STEPS FOR TASK 4:

 Take 220 V Battery
 Take 3 resistors of 3300ohm (3.3k), 2200ohm(2.2k) and 1100(1.1k)ohm
 Place multi-meters with resistor R1, R2 orR3 for finding values of current or voltage.
 Connect +ve terminal of battery with multi-meter1.
 Connect –ve terminal of multi-meter1 with the leg of resistor R3.
 Connect other leg of resistor 3 with +ve terminal of multi-meter 2
 Connect –ve terminal of multi-meter with battery of 220V.
 Connect multi-meters with resistor R1, R2 or R3.
 Ground the current from negative terminal of the battery.
