ROLL NO :
SUB :
EXPERIMENT N0 : 01
GEOMETRIC MODELLING :
it is important to cad or governing equilibrium equation to
classic engineering fileds as mechanics theramal fliuids
1.intelligent decision on the type of inities necessary to use in a particular model to meet
certain geometric requirement such in slopes and a curvature.
5.creation of new attributes of modify the obtained model to benefit new engineering
application.
6.unerstanding of terminology.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT :
1.complete part representation including to logic and geometry data
(2) to connecting and associating of the object entities .it determines the relation
information between object entities.
3.it able to transfer data directly from cad to cae and cam
4.support various engineering application such as mass properties mechanics analysis fen
,pem.
5.support various pproperties mechanics analysis fen,pen tool path relation for onc and so on.
3.surface modelling
4.solid modelling
2.the word wire frame releated to the fact that are may imagine a wire that a bend to follow
the object to generate a best model
4.in 3d wireframe model on object is not recorded as a solid instead verticle that contain
edges of the object boundary are recorded as a collection fit their collection
SURFACE MODELLING :
1.a surface model is used as a set of faces
5.surface modelling is used to be repeated shape and model are new in to solid model(e.x.
proe,autocad,catai)
SOLID MODELLING:
1.solid modelling technique is based upon the half space concept
2.the boundary of the model separated in intersection and interior of the model object
3.the object is defined by the various volume space contained within the defined of the
object.
6.point in space to be classified relative to the object if it is inside ,outside or on the object.
7.improves the quality of design improved visualisation and has potential for function
automoation and integration.
2.surfacing
3.boundary representation
6.cell decomposition spatial communication active used irregular object /image proximity
medical operation.
Sketch :
1.open set working directory command from the tool bar before move
in to the new file
2.the set working directory dialogie box will be displayed in that
select desktop and create new folder to save the sketch in that
folder.button from file toolbar the new dialogue box displayed select
the sketch dialogue box,the default name of sketch ‘appear’ in the
name edit box.
b.enter ctrl+ult in the name edit box an
c.then drop down directions in which select all files and then click ok.
2.starting new object file
a.cchoose the new d choose ok;you are at the sketcher
environment of the sketch mode
3.drawing the sketch :
1. select sketch command from the tool bar.then, sketch dialogue
box will be displayed.then, select plllane and click on sketch.
2.then,first draw bottom from sketcher tools from toolbar.
3.then,gve direction as given on the sketch on one side of the
sketch.
4.then apply, constraints equal from constraints toolbar
5.then draw two concentric circles at distance 78mm from the
sketcher4 toolbar.
6.edit the dimensions of circle.
7.then draw 3 points by using arc bottom from the sketcher
toolbar
8.by using tangent constraints make one end of the arc tangent to
the circle.
9.make another circle and coincide with the vertical line as ginen
in the sketch
10.then,apply mirror command in the sketcher to mirror the arc
on rightside as it is already down on left side.
11.in this way the skech is completed.
4.saving the sketch
No need to save because you may need this part for further 3D
model.
1.choose the save button from the file toolbar .the save object
dialogue box will be displayed with the sketch that had engtered
earlier.
2.choose ok button;the sketch is saved
3.after saving the sketch .choose window close from menu bar to
close window.
