General Information 0

The "Recycling management/Waste avoidance and management act" assigns responsibil-

ity for the product to the manufacturer/distributor. This responsibility includes recycling and
disposal according to environmental guidelines.
This document can be used by the disposal firm to determine types, quantities, and loca-
tions of hazardous materials in the system to be disposed of. The disposal instructions in
the following chapters must be observed when scrapping the system or replacing compo-
nents during the life of the product.

Graphics
The illustrations and drawings may differ slightly from the system shipped.

Disposal Instructions 0

Hazardous Materials
Hazardous substances are written in "italics" in the following chapter. They have to be dis-
posed of by an authorized disposal firm in compliance with industry standards.

Boards, Wiring Harnesses, Monitors

Boards, wiring harnesses and monitors are waste materials that must be monitored. Dis-
posal must occur in accordance with the applicable industry standard.

Safety Information
When performing installation and disposal, the product-specific safety information con-
tained in the documents, as well as the general safety information contained in the System
Manual must be observed.

Preparation
• If necessary for disassembly/transport, move the unit into an appropriate position.
• Completely switch off the system.

WARNING Ensure that the system and the on-site power supply are
completely de-energized prior to beginning deinstallation or
disposal procedures.
¹ The system and on-site power supply have to be
secured against switch-on.
