Hazardous Materials
Hazardous substances are written in "italics" in the following chapter. They have to be dis-
posed of by an authorized disposal firm in compliance with industry standards.
Safety Information
When performing installation and disposal, the product-specific safety information con-
tained in the documents, as well as the general safety information contained in the System
Manual must be observed.
Preparation
• If necessary for disassembly/transport, move the unit into an appropriate position.
• Completely switch off the system.
WARNING Ensure that the system and the on-site power supply are
completely de-energized prior to beginning deinstallation or
disposal procedures.
¹ The system and on-site power supply have to be
secured against switch-on.
• Remove the grid (1/Fig. 1 / p. 6) from the Bucky wall stand; lead.
• Remove the collimator (2/Fig. 1 / p. 6).
• Remove the housing.

• Remove the focus-near plates on the top of the collimator (2/Fig. 2 / p. 7); lead.

• Remove the grid (1/Fig. 3 / p. 8) from the Bucky wall stand; lead.

• Remove the cover from the single-tank X-ray tube (1/Fig. 6 / p. 9) and disconnect the
cable connections.
• Remove the single-tank X-ray tube from the mounted component (e.g. the unit)
(2/Fig. 6 / p. 9).
• Remove the oil pressure switch (3/Fig. 6 / p. 9) and drain the oil into a suitable con-
tainer (approx. 12 liters).
Remove the shielding cone (4/Fig. 6 / p. 9), the shielding flange (5/Fig. 6 / p. 9) and the
shielding disk (6/Fig. 6 / p. 9) from the single-tank X-ray tube.
• Remove the cylinder-head screws from the single-tank X-ray tube (7/Fig. 6 / p. 9).
• Lift off the cover (8/Fig. 6 / p. 9) from the tank on the single-tank X-ray tube.
• Remove the internal shielding (9/Fig. 6 / p. 9), the radiation protective tube
(10/Fig. 6 / p. 9) and the radiation protective cap (11/Fig. 6 / p. 9).
• Remove the X-ray tube.
