BUILD A

BIRD PROOF
SHELTER
INTRODUCTION
HELP! HELP!
Your strawberry seeds are in big trouble! Some scary birds such as parrots, cockatoos and
finches are eating all of your strawberries! It is up to you year 4's to save them because without
our strawberries we won’t be able to eat! The world is in your hand’s
year 4s. You are our only hope…

PROJECT BRIEF
SPECIFICATIONS You are going to design and construct a bird
proof shelter to protect your strawberries from
the birds.
- You will be designing the bird proof
shelter individually and with your
group. 
- You MUST use recycled materials to
RECYCLED
MATERIALS
create your model of your bird proof
shelter.
- The bird proof shelters must have a
hook to hang up in the tree above the
planting of your groups strawberry
seeds.
- You will have Mrs Smith (educative
assistant) and Miss Booth (classroom
teacher) and a parent helper to
help with creating your design, during
the cutting of wood and the hot glue
gun.

the other group and they will
