B. COMPANY PROFILE
i. COMPANY HISTORY
HISTORY OF DARANGAN WATER SERVICE DEVELPOMENT COOPERATIVE
EPIFANCIO C. DELA CRUZ, ELEUTERIO C. CERAPION, MAXIMO A. ANTAZO at CONRADO

(CAO) at pinagkalooban ng Registration No. 002318.
at motor.
halagang Dalawang Libong Piso (Php 2,000.00) bilang “counterpart” at nagkaisang
“Public Faucet” upang MAGINHAWANG MAKAIGIB NG MALINIS AT LIBRANG TUBIG nag
Arm on Community Development (P.A.C.D.) na pinamumunuan ni G. Ernesto Maceda.

3 inches at 2 inches diameter Galvanized

3
Food.
pinagkalooban ng Social Security System (SSS) ID No. 03-8758580-0, Bureau of Internal
Revenue (BIR) Tax Identification No. (TIN) 001-988-475-000 NV. Ito din ay itinanghal ng
Bureau of Cooperatives Development (BCOD) bilang “Full Fledged Cooperative” noong
ikaw-14 ng Hulyo 1986 na may Registration No. R-IV-FF-345 at pinagkalooban ng
Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) mg Confirmation No. 205 noong ika-28 ng
Enero, 1991.
Outstanding Primary Cooperative on Service Category sa isang Pambansang Palatuntunan
na ginanap sa Philippine Cooperative Center sa Quezon City. Ito ay kasabay ng
pagdiriwang ng National Cooperative Month Celebration.

4
asukal, kape, mantika, sabon at iba pa. Meron din itong tubo (pipes), metro (kuntador),
pipe fittings at cellular phone load/cards.

II. SUMMARY OF THE WORK IMMERSION EXPERIENCE
A good education makes an individual develop personally, socially as well as
economically. Education helps us to acquire new skills and knowledge that will affect our
development in life. Work immersion is a key feature in the Senior High School curriculum
(SHS) and refers to the part of that consists of 80 hours of hands-on experience or work
simulation. It is the counterpart of the internship programs in the tertiary level. The
importance of work immersion must be seen as a vital point of giving students a venue to
improve themselves through experiencing real stuff firsthand. It helps students to acquire
knowledge and experience that can help them grow as professional individuals.
We conduct our work immersion at the Darangan Water Service Development
Cooperative. The characteristics that helps me in my work experience is determination.
For me, failure is like an opening for a success story, and hence, then try again and again
just till I get the success I am expecting. Being open minded helps me to understand that
in each situation and event is opportunity for experiences.
Experience is considered to be one of life’s greatest teachers. As trainees we can
use it as an inspiration as we gain expertise in our respective fields this experience will
surely help us not only for our present job as a student but also for our future job as a
professional employee of this society. With the help of this training, I gained practical
skills and knowledge that will be helpful in our chosen career. However, more than the
conceptual knowledge, my experiences in our workplace taught me important work
ethics that will surely be helpful in whatever career I will pursue in the future.
On our first day in work immersion, our On-Site Supervisor gathered us all to
orient us on what to do when we are already at our respective place. Our supervisor gave
us a glimpse of what kind of work to expect in the office. The building has their own janitor
and even if they have janitor, we are still helping to maintain the cleanliness of the office
that we are in. Moreover, the supervisor suggested various tasks that we might do in our
short period of stay in the DWSDC.

9
RECOMMENDATION
The first time you do a thing is always exciting. However, shyness, nervousness,
and many second thoughts comes right after. That is the feeling of the first time and
exactly what I felt when I first stepped and enter the doors of Darangan Water Service
Development Cooperative, but I know that everything comes tight in place, and co-
immersionist and I will enjoy and learned more and new knowledge and experiences
inside the office.
We cannot deny that even the good one has problems encountered. The first
week in DWSDC. My co-immersionist and I is having an adjustment in terms of time and
the environment itself. The supervisor put us on closed room, so even though we want to
communicate to other staffs we can’t. The tasks and works that was given to us are not
really related to the course that we will take up in college. Moreover, we experience many
things and gain pleasure from it in this whole journey.

III. WORK IMMERSION JOURNAL
A. DAILY ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT OF DETAILED TASKS PERFORMED

DAY 1
November 22, 2019
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

Work Immersion is still widely used today. As a student it is important to take the
Work Immersion for us to improve the skills and social skill. It was November 29, 2019
when I started my work immersion in Darangan Water Service Development Cooperative
(DWSDC). It was my first time to take an actual work and I don’t know what to expect. I
don’t know whether to feel excited or nervous because beyond shadow of doubt I will be
able to experience the so called “real world”.
It was 8:30AM when I was in the office of the Manager to undergo my first
interview with the Manager of the company, Mrs. Nova Mones. I was really nervous at
that time and I really don’t know what will be the questions and how will I answer them
because it’s my first time to undergo an interview outside the school. Talking about what
you have done and the skills you have used in the past along with experiences you have
accumulated will always be important, including the specific examples you hand-pick to
illustrate how your abilities lead to outcomes - these were my thoughts for the whole
time while the interview was underway.
Ms. Mones introduced us to the employees and they welcomed us with their smile
on their faces. Our Immersion started at almost 9:00AM in the same day of our interview.
We, with my two other classmates, were placed in the small room (the Conference room,
I suppose). Therefore, we are isolated to the other employees and only the 3 of us is in
the room.
Ate Belle, gave us our first task to write the yearly posting water bills. She gave us
so many ½ index cards, a two bundle of almost three hundred index cards. We need to

11
rewrite what was written in the year 2017 to write it in year 2018. I was given the one
bundle of index card, while the other is shared by my two classmates. It was the only work
we did the whole day. As expected due to many words that we need to write down, I just
finished 50 out of 250 index cards. Even though I almost can’t feel my hands after that
work, it was a nice experience and I can say that my first day turned out good.

DAY 2
November 29, 2019
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

On our second Friday of Immersion, we were still early to arrive at the company.
We just continue to write the yearly posting water bills that we didn’t finish last Friday.
There’re still hundreds of index card that we need to write the months January to
December, the meter reading, the cubic meter or consume and the bills of all the
members of the cooperative.
The employees were approachable and asked us to have some coffee and we
humbly accepted their offer.
At the end of the day we still didn’t finish to write those in hundreds of index and
still have those hundreds index left for next week to be continued. This was my second
day and I am still adjusting and familiarizing myself with the employees.

12
DAY 3
December 6, 2019
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

On our third Friday of immersion, we just continue to work and write again in the
index card. On that day my two classmates were able to finish their writings in the one
bundle of index card. After they finished it, they were also able to help me and we divided
the index’ that I still have to finish it. But we still can’t finish it so we decided to continue
those for next Friday. Even though my hand hurts from writing, I am now enjoying what
I’m doing.

DAY 4
December 20, 2019
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

On our fourth Friday of Immersion, last Immersion before the Holiday break, we
were able to finish our work. We are happy to finish our work and give the two bundles
of index cards that consists almost 300 of index card to ate Belle. After that, we were
given the task to stapler loads of documents by ate Con and after we finished it ate Con
compliment us that we are so fast to get the job done.
After this day, I realized that it felt so good to get the work job done and being
compliment by your bosses after your hard works is amazing and I feel like my heart was
going to burst at that moment because of so much happiness.

13
DAY 5
January 10, 2020
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

I am really grateful today because this day is out fifth day and first work immersion
for the year 2020. It was not a busy day at the office. We were able to finish our tasks last
year, so we asked Manager if there is anything else that we can do, but she said that
nothing yet but she will call us if she needed something to be done.
We take our coffee at the second floor of the building, where their eating room
was located, since we’re not yet given any tasks.
After 3 hours, ate Con gave us gave us same tasks from what we did last year,
yearly posting of water bills in Barangay Darangan for the year of 2019 in 300 index cards
again and that is what we did until our work breaks.

DAY 6
January 17, 2020
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours
It was quite a busy day for our sixth day in work immersion. This day is also same
with the other day, we continued writing yearly posting water bills in Barangay Darangan
for the year 2019 in 300 index cards. Manager also gave us a task to sort documents
according to members surname alphabetically.
Manager called me from our room to her desk to ask me if I have some skills and
knowledge in Excel. I said that we actually have a discussion in Emptech about Excel, so I
am quite knowledgeable but not expert in that field. Nevertheless, Manager gave me a
task to edit and sort names of the members of the Cooperative and their bills in Excel.

14
DAY 7
January 24, 2020
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

In our 7th day, we just continued writing yearly posting of water bills in Barangay
Darangan for the year 2019 in 300 index cards, same with the other day. Manager gave
us a new task individually, to write title headings in Log book that has 300 pages in it.
Every time ate Belle enter the room that we are in, she always asked us to get some
coffee. Therefore, we take our coffee in the morning while getting our job done for the
day.

DAY 8
January 31, 2020
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

There’s an event in our school so we had to take a half day in work, so we told
Manager about it and she said that we can considered it as 8 hours. However, it was quite
a busy day on our eight day. We continued our writing title headings in Log book.
Meanwhile, ate Riza gave us a task to Cut papers that has names of the members of
Cooperative and pasting it in colored papers. Ate Riza taught us how to laminate and after
that she instruct us to laminate those papers that we paste in colored papers.
After we finish laminating those papers, there are still laminating plastic papers
left so ate Riza gave it to us and allowed us to use if there is something that we want to
laminate. I was so happy because it was my first time to laminate and I’m also thankful
because I get to that in our Work Immersion.

15
DAY 9
February 7, 2020
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

It was not a busy day on DSWDC on our 9th day in work immersion. We were able
to finish on that day the task that was given to us. So, after writing title headings in 300
pages of a log book, we gave it back to Manager.
Since it’s our second to the last, before our last day, we gave our performance
evaluation to Manger so that we can get it on our last day.

DAY 10
February 21, 2020
Time In: 8:00 am Time Out: 5:00 pm
Hours Accumulated: 8 Hours

This is our last day of Work Immersion and we still needed to finish to perform the
tasks assigned to us. Ate Riza gave us a bunch of documents called Short term loan and
we need to sort them and highlight the names of the members of Cooperative. It was the
only task that was given to us that day and Manager told us that we can finish our Work
Immersion early, so we took a half day on our last day.
We were happy because we will finally finish our training but somehow sad because
we will be leaving the Cooperative where we had lots of memories. I was also thankful for
the people of DWSDC for helping us to be the best that we can be. They challenged our
skills, abilities and knowledge and gave us a chance to prove ourselves to them.
