Title: Report about the School’s Canteen Day

I would like to start this of by thanking you sir, for giving u to green light to proceed with this
activity eventhough this is the first time our school is conducting such an event. As per your request,
I am writing this report to inform you about the how I am organizing this event.

First and foremost, on 16 March 2020 which was last week Monday, during the weekly assembly I
asked all the student to stay in the hall after the assembly was over to inform them about the event.
After the assembly was over, I conducted a mini-survey (a show of hands) on which form was most
willing to manage the stalls. Based on the mini-survey the Form 4 students were most willing to it. I
decided that we would divide the Form 4 by classes. So, they were divided into groups of three. We
also spoke with the discipline teacher before-hand who allowed us to use the tables from they
school’s store room. The first two Form 4 class which is 4 Brilliant and 4 Diligent were assigned to
manage the food section. 4 Brilliant decided that they would sell appetizers such as egg sandwiches
and mushroom soup while 4 Diligent agreed that they would sell heavy meals or main courses like
fried rice and vegetarian noodles. The third and last class all agreed collectively that they would sell
drinks. To cater to all students, they decided to sell various types of drinks from fresh juice to fizzy
drinks and even plain water.

To make this day a day to remember for the students, I decided that we should include carnival-style
game booths. To allow at least the students to let their hair down for once. There will be 6 different
type of game booths to offer many different types of games for the students. There will be a myriad
of games offered. Some of the game that are included are Balloon Darts where the students have to
throw darts and pop all the balloons, Knock the Can in this game students will have to throw a small
plastic ball to knock over the cans and we also have Toss the Ring. In Toss the Ring students will have
to toss the ring into a row of bottles. The admission for each round is RM 1.50 which I think isn’t that
costly. This will be managed by the Form 2 students who were divided into 6 different groups of
their choice so that they can foster teamwork. As the popular saying goes, teamwork makes the
dream work. The Form 2 also brought up the issue that there would be nothing driving any students
to their stall and suggested that we should have prizes and with that I asked the head chairman of
the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for some kind of sponsorship and with a blink of an eye Mr.
George Wales agreed. He agreed to sponsor 30 different types of prizes such as life-size teddy bears,
beach balls, sweets and much more!

I also wanted an event which would showcase the students’ talent. So, I asked the supervising
teacher of the English College Cultural Club if her students would be interested in performing during
the school’s canteen day. Pn.Saloma said that would be amazing. She added that this can help the
other students learn about the diverse cultures we have in Malaysia and also be a good platform for
the new Form 1 students to showcase their talents. Pn.Saloma said that a fun way to do this is by
having short comedy skits and well as some dances. To my shock Pn.Saloma went the extra mile and
said that since I have so much on my plate she would handle this part of the event. For a few days
Pn.Saloma and I went through the itinerary for the stage performances and we agreed that 6
performances would be perfect in the itinerary.

I also have to take note of security as the students can get a little competitive and boisterous. So I
assigned 2 perfects from the Prefect Board to be in-charge. They came up with the outline that 2
prefects should be stationed at each entrance of the school and several groups of prefects will patrol
around the whole school just to make sure everything is going as smooth as possible. I believe we
have more than enough manpower for this. These group of prefects will consist of 5 prefects in one
group and currently we have 3 groups which is around 15 prefects patrolling and with 2 entrances
and 2 prefects stationed in each one of them, we have altogether 4 prefects. 2 in each entrance. If
the prefects are not able to handle anything, we will make sure to inform the disciplinary teacher as
soon as possible to make sure the issue is sorted out

Thank you, sir, for reading my report. I hope you are satisfied with what I the itinerary we will be
having. If you have anything you are unsatisfied with or would like me do add please do tell sir. I
would love to hear some constructive criticism for you. I also hope you will be there to officiate this
event.
