Summary

The Assignment contains various aspects of Tailoring business in Sylhet such as


descriptive discussion on the leading figures of this industry, problems & prospects in
this industry, tables & graphs indicating the present condition of this sector etc. It must be
done on the direct observation of the present condition of Tailoring shop business in
Sylhet region.

Before developing an Assignment "Problems and Prospects of Tailoring business in


Sylhet" we made field studies, collected primary & secondary data and also other
necessary information related to the topic. The main purpose is evaluating the present
condition of the Tailoring business in Sylhet. This is the age of fashion and keeping pace
with the age fashion house business is expanding all over the world. Tailoring business is
also growing in the big cities of our country especially in demand of the young
generation. Sylhet has seen a rapid rise in the number of Tailors around the decade. As
the region is economically developed, compared to other regions of the country, it
provides a quite sufficient market for the fashion houses. AS a result Tailoring business is
expanding and also being more competitive day-by-day. But Tailoring business is still
facing various problems e.g. lack of proper plans, lack of well-defined marketing
strategies, inefficiency in using resources, lack of creative ideas, high utility bills, lack of
modern management. The future of tailoring business in the region is bright if they can
tackle the existing problems mentioned above. In this assignment, we have identified the
problems as well as the prospects and we have also included proper recommendation
regarding present & future of the business.
