Drivers Are To Be Blamed For Road Accident

Drivers are largely to blame for the high rate of road accidents in Bangladesh. Most drivers lack proper skills and training, as they learn to drive from others without qualifications or take bribes to get licenses. There is intense competition among drivers to carry more passengers, which causes reckless driving. Additionally, many drivers are unaware of or ignore traffic rules and regulations due to poor education and a desire to earn more money, putting lives at risk. To reduce accidents, drivers must be better trained and qualified before driving, and prioritize passenger safety over profits by following road safety protocols.

Drivers are to be blamed for Road Accident

Road accident is currently a major issue in Bangladesh. Every year many people die because of

road accident. The driver plays an important role in the transportation sector. They are also

mainly responsible for road accident. “Drivers are to be blamed for road accident”, I agree with

this statement because most of them are not skilled, increasing competition among themselves

and most of them are unaware of traffic rules and regulation

Most of the drivers in Bangladesh are not properly skilled. Most of them became driver without

any kind of institutional tanning or training form a skilled driver. They learn to driver from their

“Ostad”, who also doesn’t have any institutional training, when they work as a conductor or a

helper. They only learn the basics of driving and think of themselves as a professional driver.

Then, they get the driving license by giving bribe.

In Bangladesh the competition among drivers on road is increasing tremendously. They compete

with each other to take more passenger than others. Sometimes they block other buses to have

more passengers. Because of their competitive mentality they drive recklessly which cause

hazardous accidents. To earn a little more they do this sort of stunts taking great deal of risks.

Despite the strict rules and regulation of traffic, the drivers of Bangladesh are not aware of them.

Maintaining those rules is like an added burden for them. Most of them have poor academic

background which is why they don’t understand the rules and regulation properly. They have
tendency to dodge the traffic police when the signal is red. In this way they are neglecting the

most important ethics of road safety

In fine, it can be said that drivers are the main reason for excessive road accidents in recent

times. In order to reduce this mess the drivers need to have some institutional qualification

before driving on the road. They should give priority to the life of the passengers rather than the

little earnings here and there. Maintaining rules and ethics of the road can always help to

overcome this ongoing problem. By following these we can hope for a safe road in the future
