mandate in the following areas?

Implementation of policies, plans, programs and projects in:

Formal Basic Education:

As a teacher, I can contribute to the attainment of the DepEd mandate in the areas of the
implementation of policies, plans, programs and projects by implementing classroom rules,
applying teaching strategies that will work well in my class, such as integrating technology
and values in every lesson and initiate activities that could be a great help for the development
of the students and school.

Alternative Learning System:

I was not appointed in the Alternative Learning System but I can still contribute in the
attainment of the DepEd mandate by promoting, and giving information about its objectives
and purposes to the learners.

2. What can you do as a beginning teacher to:

To promote quality education, I, as a beginning teacher, need also to be qualified by


continuously studying and discovering new good ideas to master my learning areas and to find
best teaching strategies for my students.

To make education accessible to all, I need to find and consider teaching strategies and
activities that would cater the different learning abilities and capabilities of the students. I
need also to consider the students’ differences in terms of culture, religion, gender, age and
others aspects of their lives for them to learn.

values in every lesson, let them share a self-reflection of the connection of our lesson in real
and current life situation and organize activities that will make them explore learnings outside

among your students and people in the community?

A specific role/function as a teacher that can signify my responsibility to my students


and people in the community is to teach and educate students according to their educational
needs, abilities and other aspects of their lives that could be a great help in the attainment of
their full potential that contributes also to the betterment of the country.

What plans do you have as a teacher to achieve the learner-centered philosophy?


As a teacher, I need to protect and promote the rights of every Filipino learnersto quality
education at all levels, and shall take appropriate steps to make such education accessible to
all by considering their strengths and weaknesses in the learning process. I need to consider
the differences of each child in terms of culture, religion, tradition and other aspects of life.

What can you do to better serve the learners in relation to learner-centered


philosophy?
As a teacher, just like our students, we do not stop learning. We constantly seek to be
better, both as individuals and as an organization. I need to find ways and strategies to cater
the needs of the learners and always promote and maintain a child-friendly environment
where they can learn, improve their capabilities and share their talents and abilities.

How can you foster partnership and extend linkages to your stakeholders?
I can foster partnership and extend linkages to my stakeholders by constantly
communicating with them. I will inform them the output of their children and let them
participate in our school activities and programs.

environment.
What can you contribute to ensure a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and
motivating environment?

To ensure a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment, and I


need to maintain, not only a clean and conducive classroom but also a peaceful place at school,
where bullying is prohibited and values is integrated to teach them respect not only to elders
but of opposite sex or gender.
How do you address the uniqueness of each learner?
To address the uniqueness of each learner, I will facilitate different activities where the
different talents and abilities of the students will be shown and everyone will be recognized
and appreciated by giving some awards of recognition.
How do you ensure an enabling and supportive environment for effective learning to happen?
To ensure an enabling and supportive environment for effective learning to happen, I will
always monitor the improvement of the learners by recognizing and appreciating their
achievements and help the learners who need more time for remediation and coping up with
the lessons.
What are some ways to develop lifelong-learners?
To develop lifelong-learners, everyone should participate and help. The family,
community and other stakeholders should actively engaged and share responsibilities.
Learning should start at home where they should learn first the good values inside the family.
In school, teachers should always integrated values, apply teaching strategies and activities
where it caters the needs of each learner and eventually apply it to real life situations.
5. My Philosophy in Teaching
State briefly your philosophy in teaching which spells your vision in entering the teaching
profession towards effective, learner-centered and meaningful teaching experience. It must be
something you believe that will drive you to success and to being a meaningful agent of
change to students and your community.

My dream as an educatoris to mold the young people into good citizens who love their
family, community and the entire country and realize their full potential and great contribution
in building a united, peaceful and industrialized nation. For this to be effective,I need to help in
achieving the learner-centered philosophy where I, as the teacher will protect and promote the
rights of every Filipino learnersto quality education at all levels, and shall take appropriate
steps to make such education accessible to all . I will ensure a child-friendly, gender-sensitive,
safe, and motivating environment. I will always recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of
each learner, and encourage the learners to continue studying and eventually realize the
importance of education in building a great nation.

To apply a learner-centered philosophy and to ensure the attainment of my


vision, I will conduct and facilitate activities inside the class where the students can

activities, watching videos or presentation, group tasking and other activities that will
cater the needs of each learner.

1. In what concrete ways has this session helped you become a more agentive
teacher in promoting “learner-centered” teaching?

This session really helped me understand deeply the importance of


promoting and applying a ‘learner-centered” teaching that will also help me
find strategies that would be useful and effective for my learners.

2. How has this session helped you clarify your vision and motive in serving
your learners better and in promoting a learner-centered environment for
them?
With the help of this session, it helps me clarify my purpose in teaching. It
really helps me also clarify my vision and motives in serving my learners better
and it gives me clues on how to apply strategies that would cater the needs of
my learners.

Directions in your vocation as a teacher? How can your understanding of
DepEd’s Mandate and VMV provide impact to your work as a teacher?
The Department Mandate, VMV and Strategic Directions made me
understand that my role as a teacher is also a vocation, having a strong desire
to spend our life serving our stakeholders. It made me realize that teaching is a
noble job and we really need to continue improving ourselves to improve also our
service to our learners.

Aligned with the DepEd’s VMV, I also believe that we educators, do dream
of our learners to be good Filipinos who love their country and realize their full
potential and contribute to the nation’s progress. To attain my vision, I also
