Introduction
Maths rotations will be used in Term 1 to facilitate recognition of money, number and shape. Each of these topics will be embedded into learning once per week, in addition
to demonstration of financial literacy skills during shopping walks.
General Outcomes for the Unit
Students in Jacaranda One will:
 Develop recognition and sorting of: shapes, numbers and money denominations
 Develop an understanding of ‘bigger’ and ‘smaller’ in regards to number and money values
 Transfer coin recognition to a written money denomination (eg. $2 - $2.00)
 Use the Clark Road money method to demonstrate emergent financial addition skills
 Recognise the features of 2D shapes.

Money and Shape work for Jayden. Parents to pick up pack from school fortnightly.
 -Daily activities schedule to provide parents with activity ideas that students in J01 are often exposed to, and can fit in with parents’
daily schedule.
- Weekly phone conversations with Jayden’s parents re Jayden’s access to booklet activities
- Video recordings of Jayden completing work using parents’ phone and uploading this to SeeSaw for citing by teacher.
- Introduction of a school iPad to support Jayden with interactive Maths tasks like the ones used in Maths rotations (such as Sunshine
