5.2.5 Database Program:: 5.2.5.1 Data Warehouse

The database collects customer information including contact details, purchases, and needs. As a new brand, a customer database needs to be created where clients can be searched and filtered by name, address, phone number, or zip code. The data warehouse stores customer records, service history, spending amounts, and is updated regularly with direct mail lists for marketing. The database supports direct mail marketing by sending promotional materials to past, current, and potential customers. Permission marketing is also used where customers opt-in to promotional messages through digital platforms like email or social media. A frequent shopper program provides rewards for repeat customers based on purchase amounts or store visits.

5.2.

5 Database Program:
The database is the collection of information that is gathered from each customer.
The database may include contact information, like the person's name, address, phone number,
Birthday, kid’s birthday, recent achievement and e-mail address. The database may also include
past purchases and future needs.
As we started as a new upcoming brand, we don’t have any previous database. So, we have to
create our own target customer database. Client can be selected by name, address, phone number
as well as area zip code. Furthermore the programs allows the administrator to see how much the
client spent by day/month/year or how he/she paid (cash or credit card).
5.2.5.1 Data Warehouse:
A data warehouse (DW or DWH), also known as an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), is a
system used for reporting and data analysis, and is considered a core component of business
intelligence. Data Warehouses are central repositories of integrated data from one or more
disparate sources. It stores the customers record of service including when he visit our outlet,
how much he spend etc. Additionally the Data warehouse will be updated on regular basis by
purchasing direct mail list for direct marketing purpose. So it holds recurrent and historical data
in one single place that are used for creating analytical reports for workers throughout the
enterprise.
5.2.5.2 Direct marketing:
Our database will be used for direct mail purpose. Direct mail is a type of direct marketing in
which we send letters, postcards, or other promotional materials to past, current or potential
customers, or clients. So that it can help us to increase our fabulous “Pombrella” community.
Permission Marketing:
We will use permission marketing program to target the customers in more effective way.
Permission marketing refers to a form of advertising where the intended audience is given the
choice of opting in to receive promotional messages. Permission marketing is a low-cost and
effective way to create a relationship with a potential customer. The use of digital platforms with
direct access to consumers, such as email or social media, removes many of the overhead
costs that traditional channels such as mass mailing and print ads must assume.

In addition, while other forms of advertising may reach a bigger audience, permission marketing
allows for more valuable relationships and interactions with potential future customers.
Frequent Shopper Program:
We also use Frequent Shopper Program. Frequent Shopper Program is a continuity incentive
program offered by a retailer to reward customers and encourage repeat business. The reward is
usually based on either purchase volume or number of store visits. We will provide reward for
customer like –if they purchase two “pombrella” at a time, they can get 5% off on total amount.
