Solution:-
Method 1: He is using 750g weight instead of 1kg So cost for him is
for =750g and he is getting money for 1000g So his profit is 250g.
So profit% = 250/750×100 = 33.33%

Method 2: Profit% = (True wt. – False wt.)/False wt. ×100

= (1000-750)/750×100 = 250/750×100 = 33.33%

Method 3: CP:SP = 750 :1000 = 3:4

So profit% = 250/750×100 = 1/3×100 = 33.33%

= (1000-900)/900×100 = 100/900×100 = 11.11%

Method 3: CP:SP = 900 :1000 = 9:10

So profit% = 1/9×100 = 11.11%

Solution:-
Method 1: let x be the false weight used by him
Profit% = (True wt. – False wt.)/False wt. ×100
25 = (1000 –x)/x ×100
X = 4(1000-x ) or x = 4000 -4x or 5x = 4000 or x= 800g
Method 2:
25% profit means , let his CP = Rs.100 so his SP =Rs.125
For 125 , he is using a weight of 100
So 100/125 = x/ 1kg ; let x be the false weight used by him
100/125 =x/1000g
4/5 = x/1000g OR x = 4000/5 = 800g

40 = (1000 –x)/x ×100 or 2x=5(1000-x)
2x = 5000 -5x or 7x = 5000 or x= 5000/7g
Method 2:
40% profit means , let his CP = Rs.100 so his SP =Rs.140
For 140 , he is using a weight of 100
So 100/140 = x/ 1kg ; let x be the false weight used by him
100/140 =x/1000g
5/7 = x/1000g OR x = 5000/7 g
