19. With the injector head chains running slowly and minimal skate pressure, the CT string end should be
inserted into the top of the chains. The injector head should be run until the CT string is just above the
bottom of the chains then stopped.
20. Secure the chain guides and rollers on the gooseneck and ensure personnel are removed from the top
of the injector head.
21. Complete the stabbing process by running the CT through the stripper, ensuring that the end of the CT
string is correctly aligned with the stripper for proper entry.
22. Open the Side Door window and ensure the stripper rubber elements are replaced.
23. RIH CT till the pipe is accessible and prepare to install the CT connector.
24. Install CT Connector and install a pressure test/pull test sub and pull test to 25000-Ibf.
25. Pressure test CT and connector to 300-psi and monitor for leaks. If no leaks, increase the pressure to
7000-psi in 500-psi increments for 10 min. Bleed of pressure.
27. Install sufficient 4 1/16-in 10K psi riser sections below the stripper to allow the deployment of the
downhole tools (if required – TBD on location by job supervisor as per job requirement). Refer to CT
stack-up drawing.
29. RIH till CT pipe is across BOP pipe/slip ram of the COMBI BOP.
30. Pressure Test COMBI BOP (pipe/slip ram test) on the wellhead as follows (PT-2) (as per WS WIS SWI
perform Pressure Test PT2 SWP V1_6813047_01):
a) Do the pressure test of pipe-slip rams as per the SWI. Flush Equalizing valve too after flushing the
stack. Pressure test to be done after the EQV is closed and the stripper is retracted. After successful
pressure test the stripper should be packed and the EQV should be opened. The pipe rams have to
be retracted. The pressure should be bled off from the kill port/bleed off line and not by retracting
the stripper. Close the EQV.
b) Do the CT connector test as per the SWI. The reel manifold plug valve should be closed. The stripper
should be packed after flushing. The stack should be pressured up in 500-psi increments to the PT-2
value. The bleed off line should be used after a successful test to release the pressure. The reel
manifold plug valve should then be opened.
c) Adjust the tension and traction of the injector head as per the OEM recommendations for the
pressure test of the stack.
d) Do the pressure test of the stripper and stack as per the SWI. Bleed off the pressure from the bleed
off line and not by retracting the stripper. Bleed off the pressure.
31. Disconnect the riser from BOP, lift the injector run the pipe.
32. Make-up Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA), according to the run, as detailed in BHA’s diagrams.

This procedure details the steps required to Zero the CT Weight (EIM reading) before RIH in order to avoid non-consistency
of CTW reading after a CoilCAT software/hardware crash or in case of repeated run in the same well and under the same
conditions.
In summary,
CT Weight (EIM reading) = CT TENSION - CT TARE - Injector Head Weight.
Where, CT Tension refers to the raw value in engineering units of the weight on the load cell. It is used in the formula:
CT Tare is the CT Weight reading on the EIM just before hitting the Zero Weight button on EIM. This value will be LOST
every time CoilCAT software or hardware stop and therefore the CTW reading will be different after restarting CoilCAT.
The Injector Head Weight will NOT be lost in case of CoilCAT software or Hardware crash as it will be always stored in the
injector SIM.Based on the above, it is better to put the difference between CT Weight and CT Tension under the Injector
Head Weight and keep CT Tare=0 (avoid the Zero weight option on EIM) so that the offset between the CT Weight and CT
Tension will be stored in the SIM as Injector Head Weight or CT Weight Offset in CoilCAT software.
CT Tare and Injector Head Weight are set before RIH, their sum will represent the CT Weight Offset between the CT
Weight and the CT Tension. CT Weight Offset = CT TARE + Injector Head Weight CT Weight = CT TENSION - CT Weight
Offset
This way when restarting CoilCAT after any accidental crash, the CT Weight reading will be exactly the same as the one
before the crash.
1. With CT stab in without BHA, Injector head connected to BOP Stack, CT reel back tension minimal,
2. With CoilCAT software connected, follow these steps and checks on the EIM next
o NEVER ZERO the CT Weight,
o Ensure that CT Tare=0. In order to confirm, press F6(MENU)->F3(WEIGHT)->F2(UNDO ZERO). CT Tare value
will be displayed in the screen momentarily.
o And that the Injector Head Weight=0 F6(MENU)->F3(WEIGHT)->F3(INJ HEAD WEIGHT). Press 0 if Injector
Head Weight is non-Zero.
3. Release stripper pressure, RIH couple ft to get RIH weight then POOH to get POOH weight, repeat this procedure
couple times to get the accurate offset for the weight (BHA is few feet below the stripper). Take the mid point or
average of high and low weights as an offset.
4. At the offset weight, write down the CT Weight then input it as Injector Head Weight on EIM OR input it as CT Weight
Offset on CoilCAT software, this way your CT Weight will be reading Zero.
In case of a second run in the same well and under the same conditions, the CT Tension should be reading the same value
as in the previous run and therefore the CT Weight should do also the same. This will be possible only in case the
offset Injector Head Weight is input the same as in the previous run (CT Tare always equal to zero). For that, go through the
above steps 1-4 ensuring in step 3 to have the same value of offset for the weight as the one in the previous run (store the
same Injector Head Weight or CT Weight Offset on CoilCAT software). INJ HEAD WEIGHT stays stored in EIM
