Speaking Task 4: Making Predictions
Speaking Task 6: Dealing with a Difficult Situation
Choose ONE:
EITHER
Explain to your relative why you cannot lend him the money.
OR
Explain to your husband/wife why you should lend your relative the money.
1.Loans to family and friends tend to be open-ended. The parties don’t reach an agreement for a timeline for repayments,
and don’t include interest on the loan. Lenders don’t know when their money will be returned, and borrowers don’t know
when to repay the loans. This leaves both parties in limbo, and doesn’t set any expectations. The uncertainty can lead to
stress .
2.With an open-ended loan, the borrower may not realize that there is a sense of urgency to repay the loan.
3.It can be difficult to request repayment of a loan from a friend or family member.
4.Once you have lent money to a friend or family member, this person may return when he or she needs more money. In
addition, other friends and family members may also ask you for a loan
Your friend feels lonely lately, so she wants to take up a new sport. Advise her about different sports you feel
might be helpful to cheer her up.
Talk about a great time you spent with a family member or friend. You can talk about a movie you watched
together, a meal you shared in a nice restaurant, a great show or music concert you went to, or any activity you
can remember. What happened and why was it memorable?
Speaking Task 3: Describing a Scene
Your sister wants to see the ballet show (number 1), and you want to go and see Hamlet, the play (number 3).
Convince your sister to go with you and see the play you chose.
Hey Amy, I know you are very interested in ballet dancing, but I really think that Hamlet is the best option for us. I mean,
think about it. First of all, Hamlet is one of Shakespeare’s classics, and I know you haven’t read it or seen it yet. I am quite
sure you would love this story. I know that your choice is five dollars cheaper and we could actually save five dollars, but it
isn’t really a good saving plan if we have to take a taxi to go to the theatre. So why not going to the nearby theatre and enjoy
Hamlet? In addition, how can you compare a show by famous actor and amateur dancers? I really think you should reconsider
Amy.
Speaking Task 6: Dealing with a Difficult Situation
You are a teacher and one of your students has an unacceptable behavior. Your colleague Tom advises you to take
disciplinary actions, while David thinks you should be more patient with him.
Either: explain to Tom why you should be more patient with your student.
You are walking down the street at night and you see a woman being robbed by a thief. Phone the police. Provide
a full and clear description of the thief and the thing he robbed.
Task 1
Questions of this test are here
Hey Sarah! I’m glad you have finally decided to take up a new sport. That is actually a fantastic idea; it would definitely cheer
you up, especially since you have been feeling a little down lately. I strongly recommend jogging every morning. There is
something about morning fresh air that can entirely change your mood. I know it is not really much but it is a start you know!
I would also suggest playing badminton. There is a badminton club you can join which is only two blocks away from where you
live. You would quickly make new friends there and I know you will enjoy this game. A lot of friends have already joined that
club and they are having a wonderful time there. You can practice there three times a week after work. However, if you don’t
like using a racket, then you could join a fitness club. There is a new one next to work, and they seem to have really
sophisticated equipment. So I guess you should think of hitting the gym after a long day of work. I’m sure it would relieve your
stress. Anyway, whatever you decide, I hope it cheers you up and gets you gain your smile again.
Task 2
One of the most memorable experiences I had is probably when I went to see a scary movie last year with my best friend. It
was a Friday evening and I was really exhausted and wanted to go to sleep, but my friend insisted to go with her to the
movies. That’s exactly what I did. The movie was great since I love scary movies, and the atmosphere was enjoyable too. After
the movie, we decided to have dinner in the nearby restaurant, and as we were enjoying our meal, a music band gathered
around us and started playing some relaxing songs. Suddenly, my friend’s boss came out of nowhere and offered us two
tickets to see Saturday’s basketball game. I honestly think that was the best weekend I had in years.
Task 3
This scene takes place in a classroom during the day. On the left, there’s a student who is trying to draw an animal. He looks
satisfied with his work. On his right, I can see four students who are doing some paper craft. They seem really focused in their
work. On the back, there is a woman wearing a blue skirt and a blue shirt who is probably their teacher. She is listening
attentively to a student who is maybe asking her a couple of questions. I can also see a whiteboard behind the teacher with
some numbers and letters above it. It is indeed quite a busy scene.
Task 4
The student on the left would most probably finish his painting, show it to his teacher, and maybe ask her about her opinion
and suggestions. As to the four students, they might exchange their work with each other after they finish it. They might also
help each other out of they find any problem. Concerning the teacher, I assume she will answer the student’s questions in
order to help him and ask him to join his classmates. She could also ask the other three students to go to their seats so as she
can start her lesson. I don’t know if these predictions are accurate, but that’s all I can come up with.
Task 5
Amy.
Task 6
Hey Tom, I know that taking a serious disciplinary attitude with my student would probably be a good and efficient solution,
but I really think I should let it slide for this time. To start with, I don’t think he meant to be disrespectful, you know how
teenagers are. The way I see it, he was just trying to impress his classmates. Moreover, I happen to know that he is
experiencing some family problems at home recently. His parents are on the verge of a divorce, so I think that this issue can
influence his behavior in class. Finally, it’s almost the end of the school year, and don’t want to get him into trouble because of
a stupid mistake.
Task 7
I completely disagree with this statement for many reasons. First, we are all living creatures on this planet, and we should
treat each other with dignity and respect. I don’t think that humans would appreciate it if animals were the ones to undergo
scientific experiments on us. So scientists should teat them the way they would want to be treated. Second, anyone who has a
pet at home or deal with animals with one way or another, know that they have similar feelings like us. They feel sad,
disappointed, they can cry sometimes, they even mourn when they lose someone close to them. So I think that killing them in
cold blood for the sake of our survival is a selfish and insensitive act. And how many animals should die to prove a scientific
point or achieve a success. I suppose hundreds if not thousands suffer in order to satisfy humans’ needs and ambitions. Last
but not least, instead of sacrificing innocent helpless animals, scientists should come up with other alternatives to conduct their
research. That’s mainly why I strongly disagree with this statement.
Task 8
Hello officer, I am calling to report a robbery I have just witnessed few minutes ago. A thief just robbed what seemed to be a
blue handbag from an old woman. He was wearing a blue cap and a green hoody. He was also wearing blue pants. I couldn’t
see his facial features since he was wearing some kind of a black mask I guess. He took it and ran instantly. As to the poor old
woman, she was wearing a purple pullover and a blue skirt. She also seemed to wear red glasses. She seemed shocked and
couldn’t do anything about it except screaming for help. Obviously, no one helped her cause I was the only one around.
Anyway, I hope you could catch him soon.
Talk about a scary situation you or someone you know experienced. You can talk about something that happened
at night, a scary dream, or any dramatic situation. What was it? Where and when was it? What happened and how
did it end?
Describe some things that are happening in the picture below as well as you can. The person with whom you are
speaking cannot see the picture.
In this picture, what do you think will most probably happen next?
After a check up, your doctor advises you to take at least three days rest at home. However, your boss insists that
you work these days.
Either: explain to your doctor why you should work.
Answer the following question and give reasons for your answer.
Do you think it is very important for children to learn how to play a musical instrument at an early age.
You want to buy a birthday gift for your son and he desperately needs a bicycle. While you were looking at
different models, you saw this one and wanted to buy it. Call your wife. Provide a full description of the bicycle
and ask her about her opinion.
Note: Kindly leave a comment if you find this helpful. It would encourage us to post more practice tests. Thanks in
advance.
Task 1
Check the questions if you like.
Hey Andy, I know It might seem impossible for you now to quit smoking considering you have been smoking for 20 years now. But you really should take the doctor’s
recommendation seriously this time. It’s a matter of life and death now. You have to stay in good health. You can start by avoiding public places that you frequently go to and smoke
with your friends like cafés and bars. Keeping away from that environment will enormously help you resist that desire of smoking. And how about practicing sport regularly? You need
something to occupy your mind if you want to win this challenge, and there is nothing more effective than going for a run every morning.
However, if you are not into jogging, you can try any sport you like. I am sure you will notice the difference after. I am not sure if you are willing to try those electric cigarettes they
are advertising on TV. It is worth a try you know, they would gradually help you forget about real cigarettes I suppose. I would also read how other people were able to quit cigarettes
if I were you. You would greatly relate to these kind of stories. Anyway, I hope you don’t give up easily and good luck.
Task 2
I guess the scariest experience I can think of is when I was babysitting my little cousin one day. I was alone with him at night watching TV together when I heard a strange noise
coming from the bedroom upstairs. I wasn’t scared at first, I thought it was just the window or the cat was fooling around.
However, I noticed the cat sleeping under the dining table, so the only explanation left was the window. I had to go upstairs and check. When I got there, everything was normal and
the window was closed as usual. Suddenly, I heard the same noise coming from the living room downstairs this time. It happened that my little cousin was playing me all along!
Task 3
This scene takes place in a kitchen during the day I suppose since the kids are still awake. In the middle, I can see a boy and a girl who seem to be enjoying themselves drawing and
coloring on the kitchen table. They both have red hair, the whole family have red hair actually, even the mother. On the right of the kids, there is a dog who is trying to watch what
the kids are doing and he looks very happy. The mother stands behind the boy cooking a hot meal. On her left, I can also see some messy dishes piled up in the sink that need
attention. Anyway, the whole kitchen seem a little messy to me and needs immediate clean up.
Task 4
The boy would most probably show his drawing to his mother after he finishes. I suppose the girl would do the same too. They
might also exchange their coloring books in order to help each other or give any suggestions. As to the dog, he might stop
watching the kids and go play with the cat. They may start running around the kitchen or go outside in the backyard. The
mother however, will probably taste the meal she is cooking and add any necessary ingredients. She will also take a look at
the oven, pay attention to the messy dishes, and clean up the mess around the kitchen. There could be other possibilities, but
these are my personal predictions
Task 5
Hey Susan, I don’t understand why you prefer Virginia High School where St George is clearly better for our son. First of all,
the monthly fee is cheaper and you know we need to save as much money this year as possible for his college education.
Second, it is not as far as Virginia High School. So it won’t take us too long to drive him to school and go to work every
morning.
The teachers also are highly qualified in St George and many parents recommended them if you remember. At least we can
ensure quality education for Jim. Finally, I don’t think he would be pleased to go to a school where he doesn’t have a single
friend. I have to ask you to reconsider Susan.
Task 6
Hey John, I know I am supposed to work the following three days but the doctor insists that I should rest for a couple of days.
He told me that my health is deteriorating and it would turn to a serious illness if I don’t follow his advice. Moreover, I don’t
think I would perform well anyway. I can’t really concentrate on my work and I constantly feel exhausted. So you won’t be
satisfied with the outcome. I also feel like a deserve a three days absence after I managed to close that million dollar deal last
week. Besides, I haven’t taken any vacation last year if you remember and I really think I deserve at least a week now. So
what do you think John?
Task 7
I don’t think it is really necessary for children to learn how to play a musical instrument in the early stages of their lives. To
begin with, they can learn other useful things too apart from music. I know that learning a musical instrument can develop
their creativity, but there other hobbies that can do the same and boost their intelligence as well. For me, playing chess, board
games, and martial arts for instance are better alternatives. Furthermore, music sometimes, if not well supervised, can turn to
a negative addiction for many kids.
They start devoting more time rehearsing on their musical instrument, forget about their education, rarely do their school
homework, and spend more time with their band if there is one. Finally, even if parents manage to control their children’s
musical addiction, I don’t think we should force them in choosing their pastime hobby. Many children don’t show any interest in
playing music, and yet their parent insist on making them learn an instrument. That’s what I am really against.
Task 8
Hey honey, it’s me. Remember we agreed to buy a bicycle for little Steve for his coming birthday. Well, you would not believe
what I found in this toy store. This bike has unusual parts. The wheels for example are two different balls. The front wheel
looks like a football whereas the back wheel is a red basketball. You know how your son loves these two sports right? The seat
is also weird. It has the form of a rugby ball. Steve is not really a fan of rugby, but I’m sure he would love the looks. And that’s
not all, the grips or the handlebars look exactly like a microphone, so that he could sing while riding his bike. So what do you
think honey? Should we buy it for him?

You are in a furniture store and you see a table you would like to buy, but the store clerk won’t let you take a photo. Phone a
member of your family. Provide a full and clear description of the table and ask if you can buy the table.
Hi. David. I’m in a furniture store in Smith street. I’m calling because I saw a funny table here that I think we should buy. Let me describe
the table for you. It’s about 6feet around under usuall high. The surface of the table looks like a watermelon. It’s round with a green edge
and the pinky red middle. like the colors of watermelon. The middle also has many black shapes. They resemble the seeds of
a watermelon. And It has black lines make it look like it is in cut into ten slices. The table has tree yellow legs in the shape of bananas. The
whole thing is very cute and funny. I hope my description of the table is clear. Is it okay if I buy it? I think It would look great in our child’s
bedroom.

Question: Do you think that young adults should pay rent to their parents if they do not move out by the age of 21? Explain your
reasons.
In my view, however, there are several reasons why my feeling the parents should not expect their children to pay rent even when they turn
21. For one thing, many children are still at University or College at the age of 21. If parents ask for the rent, these Children might have to
give up their studies in order to get a job. I am sure the most parents would agree that would be much better for their children to finish their
education. For another thing, In my experience, most parents with children who are in their twenties are not in financial trouble. As a result,
They are unlikely to need rent money from their children. In contrast, few people in their early twenties have much money. As a result, aking
them to pay rent could put them in a difficult financial position. To sum up, for that reasons I have given it is my belief that children who live
with their parents should not have to pay rent. I would certainly not ask my children to pay rent when they turn 21.

A close cousin who lives in another country is coming to visit for a year. She tells you that she would like to stay at your place to
explore your country’s culture and to spend some time with you. Your roommate does not agree, and says you will have to move
out if she comes.
<Choose ONE>
EITHER Talk to your cousin. Explain why she cannot move in for a year.
OR Talk to your roommate. Explain why your cousin should be allowed to move in with you for a year.
Hi, David I know you don’t really want my cousin to stay but I hope I persuade to change your mind. Let me explain. First, we have a spare
bedroom in our home and my cousin is willing to pay 1/3 about rent. This will save us about 300 dollars for a month. I know you don’t have
much money right now. So I think it will help you financially if my cousin stays with us. Second, My cousin study to be a chef. She is really
great at cooking. She told me that she will be really happy to cook for us if she can live here. I know how much you love good cooking. I
think you would love to eat her food. Especially, her pasta dishes. I hope the two reasons that I've given have persuaded you to change
your mind. Then now my cousin to come and stay at our home.
CELPIP Speaking Sample Answer----------5. Comparing and Persuading (pre :60 rec : 60 )
Your family is relocating to another area, and you are looking for a new home there. You found two suitable options. Using the
pictures and information below, choose the option that you prefer. In the next section, you will need to persuade a family member
that your choice is the better choice.
If you do not choose an option, the computer will choose one for you. You do not need to speak for this part.
The house you chose definitely has some good points. However, There are a couple of reasons why my choice the downtown townhouse is
the better option for own your home. For one thing, Although the townhouse costs more than the country home it has better value. The
reason is it is only about 20% more expensive but over 8% larger as you know we need a very large house so I think the size of the
townhouse makes a good choice.
For another thing, None of us like driving the country home looks peaceful but we would have to drive anytime we want to go somewhere,
see somebody or buy something. In contrast, the townhouse is convenient for public transportation so we could do everything we want
without having to drive. I hope you understand and agree with my reasons that think my option is a better choice for our family.

In this picture, what do you think will most probably happen next?
I will predict what some of the people in this classroom seem might do next and some of the things it might happen next. I think the two
teachers who are talking together in the doorway will finish their conversation and the female teacher will turn around. I imagine that the two
children working in the blackboard will answer the question and return to their desks. The five students who are reading books at their
desks will continue studying or stop reading and listen to the teacher. The girl making a funny face, the girl passing a note, the boy playing
throwing an air airplane, the boy eating a sandwich, and the two boys playing a video game will probably all pay attention because the
teacher will see what they are doing and ask them to stop their behavior. Obviously, I can not be sure that any of these predictions will
come true but perhaps some of them will.
Describe some things that are happening in the picture below as well as you can. The person with whom you are speaking cannot
see the picture.
This scene shows what looks like an elementary school classroom. I’ll describe some of the things and people that I can see in the picture
and say what they are doing. At the front of the room, a man and woman who seem to be teachers are talking together in a doorway. The
female teacher has a back to us. Near to them, Two students are working together to solve a question on the blackboard.
The rest of the room is filled with students seating and their desks. Five of students are reading books. Among the others, one girl is making
a funny face. and Another girl is passing a note to her friend. One boy is about to throw a paper airplane. Another boy is eating a sandwich.
And Two other boys are playing a video game. There is more I could describe but I hope this gives a clear overall impression of the scene.
Talk about a great time you had with a family member or friend. Maybe you can talk about a party, something you did together at school, a time
you traveled with a friend, or anything else you can remember. What happened and why was it memorable?
In my life, I’ve often had a great time with my friends and family members. If I had to just pick one thing to talk about, however, It would be visiting New York
City with my brother.
It happened a number of years ago. When I was 21 and my brother was 24. He won a competition and the price was a free trip to New York
for two people for one week. My brother invited me and we had a great time. We visited Central Park and Abatories places. Had some
wonderful meals at a great restaurant and went to see a baseball game. We also visited some fantastic museums and did some shopping
on and on. It was a great trip. Since that time, I’ve visited New Youk again. But the trip with my brother was the
best.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A friend is looking for a summer job. Advise him about different ways he can find work for the summer.
Hi, David I understand you are looking for a summer job. I find work every summer so Perhaps I can give you some help for advice.
First I recommend you job search online. There are couple of reason why I say this
First, It doesn’t cost you any money to search most of job site. And Second, You can do it whenever you want. You can even go out to a
coffee shop to do it if you like. In the past, I found several summer jobs by searching online. So perhaps you will have similar success.
Second in addition to searching for jobs online why don’t you visit some stores or businesses where you think you might like to work? You
can ask to speak to a manager and explain to him or her that you are looking for a summer job.
In my experience, managers are often impressed by people who look for work in person. In fact, That’s how I got the summer position last
year. Anyway, Good luck with our job search. I’m sure you will find a great position soon.

One of the exercises CELPIP has is to describe a picture. So here it is how I did.
First, you must speak all in the simple present tense. Don't change your main tense, however, you can use expressions like: "I think he
is coming from ...". So, my description would be like this:
I see a picture in the plage. The sky is blue, there are no clouds. At the left, very far from here, there is a bush, then there are two
palm trees. One seems to be far away and the other very close. The closest one has coconuts on it.
At the right, there is a big blue wave. On that wave, there is a pirate ship. I know it is a pirate because the flag is black and it has a
big darker X on it. It is all brown with black sails. There are four mice attached to the ship with a rope. They are not inside the
water, they are coming out of it. They wear some pirate hats and they seem to be very tired as well.
At the left-bottom corner, there is a native. He is brown with black curly hair. He has a white bone in his hair and he is holding his
lance with the left hand. With the right hand, he is about to shoot kind of a dart to the mice.
Take note of how I started, I took a technique far-to-here; I started to describe the general scenario and then I talked about the sky which is
far. It really doesn't matter how you do, but get an order. You could start from the front, or from the left. It really depends on the picture
when you are doing the exam. But keep it in order.
The next related exercise will be to guess what is going to happen in that picture. Most part of this we are going to use the present
progressive (he is going to ..., she is running) and you can mix with simple future. For example:
I think the boat is going to be out of the water. The native is going to shoot the mice, but he is going to miss. As soon as the boat
is out, mice are going to lay on the sand and the shoot is going to pass over them. The native is going to run when he realizes he
has missed and finally, after a long nap, one of the mice will try to get the coconuts because they will be starving.

MY FAVOURITE POSSESSION
My favorite possession is a book, but it’s not any book, because for me isvery important. That book was a very special gift from my best
friend. Shegave it to me on my last birthday. Is one of my favorites and for that reasonis very important to me. The book is big, has
much pages. Its cover is red, and has a drawing of acouple in the front and the name of the author. In the back he has anargument about
the history of the book
My favorite possession
Everyone
has a favorite possession. Mine is a watch that my grandmother, my mother’s mother, and one of my favorite people in the
world, gave me when I was about seven years old. To me, it represent my grandmother’s love and care. Whenever I wear it, I feel like my
grandmother is by my side, taking care of me and protecting me. (Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mean she was dead.)
The watch belt is pink, and there are bright decorations looking like diamonds around the surface of the clock, forming a circle. It also
looked amazing on my wrist. Whenever I wore it, it always drew attention. I loved it very much, so I wore it everyday.
One day I wore it to school as usual and played and ran with my friends. All of a sudden, my wrist hit the wall and the glass surface of the
watch was broken. At the same time my heart was broken as well. From then on I don't wear any watch anymore. I put the watch into its
box and cherish it. That's a harsh lesson for me.

We all have various possessions that are important to us for various reasons ranging from their value to the sentiments attached
with them. I also have many valuable items, but the most prized one of them is my cell phone. It holds a special place in my heart as it was
the last gift to me from my grandfather before his demise.
I was very close to him and the phone reminds me of him and holds many pictures of us that are reminiscent of all the memories we both
shared. I received it last year in December when it was newly launched. I was awaiting its launch and often spoke about it with my
grandfather. He understood my desire and on the day after the phone was launched, he purchased it and gave it to me as a surprise gift.
It is a top of the line, flagship smartphone with various features. Not only does it help me keep in touch with other people through phone
calls and text messages, but it also lets me use high-speed internet. I can check emails, play games, listen to music, watch videos, and
browse social media apps. Besides, it facilitates the usage of important apps, reading e-books, and transferring data.
This smartphone is versatile and has a lot of specialties. Hence, it is not only important to me due to its usage or its value, but also due to
my emotions attached to it and my grandfather.
Hi Ravi,
HRU? I got your letter yesterday in which you shared your future plan to host a party and also seek my advice. I am happy to advice you on the
matter under consideration. If you're going to throw a party you must keep 5 things in your mind, if you want you and guests to have an awesome time.
Firstly, creating party budget. The number of guests, amount of food, kind of venue and entertainment all depend on the budget.
Secondly, Figure out the Logistics- When I say figuring out the logistics I mean setting the time, the date, and the place you'll be hosting your party. Try and
give your guests at least a weeks’ notice for best results for you and your guests. You should invite your guests by creating a Facebook event or individually
texting them or by sending formal invitation.
Thirdly, Selecting Theme for party. For example if theme is sing, dance and laugh, this gave the guests an idea of singing, dancing and other fun activities
they could expect at the party.
3. Plan the food, drinks and music as per eating preference of guests.
4. Decorate,
If you can get these steps, you've got a popping party ahead of you.

Going on a date with a girl you like is always like a dream coming true for anyone but when this time comes , things are changed , Guys generally become
nervous about the date and they are continuously thinking and may be stressed .but always remember one thing “FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE
LAST IMPRESSION”.So , Prepare yourself as much as you can to make it happen
Your clothes should be proper. mostly semi formal! Your shoes should be shining. The venue chosen by you should provide you
guys a lot of space and privacy to talk a lot and get to know each other in a better manner. Don’t feel like taking her to a very
adventurous place at your first dates itself. Don’t buy anything expensive but make sure to bring some fresh flowers to her. Don’t
brag about you or try to argue over little topics. Listen to her mostly. Don’t try to flaunt too much before her like your expensive car
etc. Compliment her for her dressing sense and style. be polite and don’t show your aggression to other people. While you converse
avoid mentioning your past relationships and your expectations and ambition from a girl at your first date itself.

2. PROPER OUTFIT : I think Outfit plays major role in success of your date. We know that “Men with well maintained dressing style are attracted by
women” so keep in mind that if you wan’t to win her heart ,be proper dressed.
4. BEING YOURSELF IS THE BEST ACT. Don’t try to impress your date with your money, your position, your car, or your body measurements.
Using these things to win a woman over will only attract those with superficial intentions. Win them over by showing them the qualities you have inside
by simply being yourself.
5. BE CONFIDENT:
Confidence plays major role on first date. You need to be confident about your outfit ,appearance and look. You need to focus on your strengths rather
than weakness , this will also help you to boost up your confidence
5. PREPARE CONTENT:
If you had your exam than you do your homework properly and seriously ,so in the same way first date is also like an exam and you you wan’t
to qualify it then do your home work properly. You should be ready with the content of your date in which you will execute your date .
Complimenting anyone always gives good vibes to the listener. like Compliment her for beauty, sweetness, style
9. LOOK INTO HER EYES:
While talking to her try to look into her eyes because it creates greater impact on her. The reason is “ When we see into anyone’s eyes then she too will
look into your eyes and this will give her trust and make her confidence while speaking”
After the lunch/dinner go for paying the bill even if she offers, insist on paying for the date — especially if you initiated the date in the first place.
=----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------=-----------------------------
This is where you come in – to lead them on the right path again! Set a clear direction that your lazy employee should be working towards,
and be sure that they agree on these targets, too.
3. Offer More Training
To show that you really do care about their personal and professional development, you could offer additional training where needed. This
could either be to refresh their knowledge or to expand on their current skills and learn new processes.
By offering training, you are showing that you are committed to their development which, in turn, should create a positive effect, forcing the
employee to feel more motivated to progress and do well within the organisation.
4. Create Consequences
Once you have given your lazy employee all the tools they need to progress (eg: training, extra attention, etc), you must set some
consequences in place, in case that they do not deliver.
For example, if an employee is making careless mistakes and not completing projects on time, you can advise them that you will need to
give them a formal warning if they do not improve within a set period (usually one month). Afterwards, you can set additional consequences
if they still do not improve.
5. Create Incentives
While consequences may be a good tactic, incentives, on the other hand, can be just as powerful. If an employee is given an aim to work
towards for something in return, they are more likely to work 10 times harder to ensure that they get there – after all, they’ll want to be
rewarded!
If you choose this strategy, you need to ensure that it’s something worth fighting for, like a bonus, extra days off or even a paid weekend
getaway.
1. Apologize with a small but personal gift, so forget about the cliche’s like flowers, chocolates and greeting cards. Instead get her something
she really likes, like a favorite snack, cup of coffee, from her favorite place. Make sure that its something important to her, yet small enough
that you think you have not noticed that she likes it so much. So lets assume that she likes a little cinnamon and and coco in her coffee. She
doesn’t do this often, but when she does, she really enjoys it. Doing this will demonstrate that A. You take notice and listen, B. You care, C. You
act upon it to demonstrate your love and devotion to her.
2. Make up for it. This is the creative part. Throw in a surprise birthday party composed of a small close knit group of friends. Bring a nice and
useful gift, so if she’s into technology, grab her an iPhone, or a Samsung Galaxy phone, or an iPad if she doesn’t have one. If she uses a laptop
and has an old one get her a professional grade laptop, a Mac book if she likes Mac’s, an Elitebook, or Probook from HP or a Latitude or
Precision from Dell, or a Thinkpad T,L, or X series from Lenovo. The gift must be important to her, so do your homework, useful, and not
cheap, so a gift from a thrift shop for $10 will not cut it !
3. Alternatively, if she isn’t into material things, try one of those IOU cards that you print out to your spouse with commitments that you will
fulfill once the card is redeemed. Something like doing house chores for a week or a month, all on your own with no help from your spouse, so
that she can have time to do what she loves to do. You could also babysitting the kids for a weekend or two, so that she and her girlfriends can
spend a weekend getaway at the city of their choice. (Hotel and Airfare included)
4. Make a commitment and a promise never to forget her birthday again, and do that in a small ceremony and a written certificate. Also put
some penalty clauses in there that will kick in if you forgot.
5. If you have forgotten birthday of your near and dear ones then you shouldn’t waste any more time! Just send heartfelt birthday wishes as
soon as possible, even if it means sending belated happy birthday wishes.
6. The belated birthday message needs to convey that you are sorry for forgetting to wish the birthday boy/girl
Get Together
Your apology will be more meaningful if you take the time to get together with the person whose birthday you forgot, as opposed to sending a text message
saying, "Oops, happy late birthday!" Offer to take him out for lunch, and once you're there, let him know you're sorry that you forgot his birthday. You could
say, "I've been preoccupied lately with my new job, but that is no excuse for missing your birthday. Our relationship means a lot to me, and it's important to
me that you feel valued."
Buy a Gift
An apology means the most when it's backed up by actions. When you give your friend a gift, you're letting her know that her birthday is still important to you
even though you forgot. Hand her a nicely wrapped package and say, "I wish I'd had my act together enough to give this to you on the actual day of your
birthday, but I hope you'll accept my apology for forgetting and enjoy your gift today instead."
Promise to Change
In her book "The Power of Apology: Healing Steps to Transform All Your Relationships," Beverly Engel says that a critical part of apologizing is to remedy
the situation so that it does not occur again. Let your friend know that you won't let him down again the next time his special day arrives. Say, "I was
disorganized this year, and the result was that I let a really important day go by. It made me feel simply awful, so I made sure to put an alert on my calendar
so I won't miss your birthday again next year."
Advice : your friend forgot wife birthday
Firstly, you should apologize. It hurts, when someone you love forgets something that's important to you. Make a commitment and a promise never to
forget her birthday again, and do that in a small ceremony and a written certificate
Secondly , You can also convey your apology and make her feel really good with post birthday party celebrations and the package of surprises.
• Banners and play cards greeting her birthday wishes as well a sorry.
• Planning a surprise ride in the air, and celebrating the vibes enjoying the skyline of the city.
Thirdly, Spend time with them. Try offering to set a date where you and your wife can go see a movie, go to a concert, have a spa day, or just hang out
as a way to celebrate their birthday. Sometimes the best gift is just spending time together.
Take care of the kids. At least for a day every week. Change his/her diapers and let your wife take a break. This will give her a chance to go out with
friends or have them come over while you take care of household matters.
Give her compliments whenever possible. Whether it’s her cooking or her outfit, you should show your appreciation when it’s appropriate. if you don’t
like what she cooked, still give her compliment, she put an effort in it.
Spend time alone with her. Don’t always plan for a trip with your friends and kids. Plan for an exclusive gateway sometimes. Just book a hotel within a few miles from your
home and spend a day there, just the two of you
Advice: how to deal with roommate who doest not do any household chores.
Discuss your expectations and talk about what each of you needs and wants from the other. This is your best chance to set boundaries with your roomate
Create a roommate agreement. Some people find it helpful to write up a "roommate agreement" in which you set down rules that everyone can agree to.
This is a good way to make sure that everyone is clear on the rules and responsibilities.
Divide up responsibilities. Make a plan to divide up responsibilities and chores between you and your roommate. For example, if your roommate is a good
cook and you are not, ask them to cook if you’ll clean up afterward. It may also be a good idea to set up a chores schedule, where you will take turns cleaning
the bathroom, taking out the trash, dusting, vacuuming, and so on
1 .The Hopeful Approach: Here you can politely convey that keeping things neat and tidy is important for you and request the room mate to be considerate
of that
2. Sometimes people become lazy out of habit. It can also be a sign that your roommate is feeling bored, depressed, friendless, lonely, or something else.
Think of it as an opportunity. Invite your roommate to go and do something fun with you, preferably outdoors, in the sun. Play basketball, or go to an archery
range, or something your roommate might be interested in. You can turn it into a group activity. Just don't be judgmental about asking. It will infuse
enthusiasm in him.
Traditional Learning Vs. Online Learning: English
Con: Your school might choose boring, useless material that isn’t practical for your needs.
There might be too many students in your class, so you can’t speak much.
.
What are the pros and cons of learning online?
Pro: You can choose from hundreds of teachers and methods to find the best fit for your style.
You can meet people around the world and have a huge international English community.
You can learn whenever you have free time because there isn’t a specific class time.
You can find good quality free materials and more organized paid materials.
Con: You have to spend time researching materials yourself and finding the best fit for you.
If you’re learning online without a teacher or program, you might not be certain if you’re following the right path.
.
Traditional Learning Vs. Online Learning: Differences, Advantages, And Disadvantages
These days online courses/training have become extremely popular, as more and more institutes and companies are offering courses online.
However, despite the popularity of online education, vast groups of people consciously stay away from such methods, mostly due to
misconception. At the same time, despite the rising popularity of online courses, traditional (classroom) training is fighting back and trying to
adopt newer means of retaining learners' interest. There are always two sides of a coin. For some individuals, online training is more appropriate,
while for others classroom training is the preferred delivery method.
Online Learning
People take professional level courses usually to increase their qualifications and enhance their career opportunities in their jobs. For example, to
get promotion in higher level and higher paid jobs; in management related professional degrees, diplomas are helpful. However many employees
may be exhausted after their work and don’t want to attend regular classes. So, naturally, an online class is more convenient for them, as it saves
valuable time, money, and energy.
The best thing about online learning is that individuals can take a course from the comfort of their office or home. Even with a busy schedule, one
can find some spare time to take a course or study for it.
In online classes, the learner is not directly interacting with the faculty. So in case of having any questions, they may find it difficult to ask their
online instructor, as communication is often very impersonal. However, these courses often offer alternatives to live query resolution like online
forums, emails, and chatrooms. Using these alternatives can be helpful for individuals to get their queries answered.
People often think that interacting with a trainer live is the best way to learn, as it is interactive and allows for two-way communication. For such
types of people, synchronous online courses will be more appropriate.
Another way to acquire knowledge through an online medium is by searching on different search engines like Google, Bing, etc. Although this
helps by reducing the amount of books one has to read, there may be too many sources of information one has to read, and choose the relevant
ones, which can result in information overload.
Thus online learning may be more suitable for grownups who are continuing their education while they're working in their regular jobs.
Traditional Learning
Traditional classes are more suitable for young children, teenagers, and young adolescents who are yet to join the workforce. Regular attendance
in classes helps them interact with other individuals of their own age, be better disciplined, follow a regular schedule, and improve their physical
fitness and mental alertness.
Classroom learning helps students and teachers know each other in a better manner. This allows teachers to know the students and evaluate their
strengths and weaknesses better, act as mentors, and guide students in their career possibilities.
In a traditional classroom, students can directly share their views and clarify their own queries with the teacher, thus getting their questions
answered right away.
Most of the time books and classroom notes are very useful for studying and passing exams. Understanding the Question & Answer pattern, and
with suggestions provided by experienced teachers, students can find it more helpful to learn than when using generalized online notes and
suggestions available on the internet.
Also, classroom learning is more helpful due to a continuous interaction between students and teachers, as it helps students to get rid of their
fears regarding exams, which can rarely happen with online guidance.
Lastly, interactions with good teachers help motivate students to achieve higher marks.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
1. Flexible scheduling
Most online courses provide you with more flexibility than a traditional on-campus class.
This means you can do your coursework around your work schedule and family life. Rather than needing to attend a 9:00am class every week, you can, for the
most part, choose when you study, so long as you submit your work by the deadlines given.
2. Faster completion
A large number of colleges and universities now offer shorter semesters. Instead of having to attend classes for 16 weeks, you can enroll in 8-week online
courses and spend half the time earning your credits in that subject.
In many cases, new classes start every month or every other month giving you the opportunity to start classes now instead of waiting until the beginning of the
traditional fall or spring semester.
3. Study anytime
With online classes, you have the ability to study on the fly.
You may not have a 4 hour block of time to sit down and study, but you can fit studying in throughout your day. Log on to the message boards while eating
breakfast, listen to a lecture on the drive to work, read a few chapters on your lunch hour, or take a practice test while preparing dinner.
Studies show that learning in shorter bursts is actually better than long study sessions because it promotes retention and genuine understanding.
Depending on the course or program you want to take, your local college may not offer exactly what you are looking for. But with online courses, you can take a
specialty program at a college thousands of miles away without the inconvenience of needing to uproot your entire life.
6. No commute
Commuting to class can waste valuable time! It also makes you susceptible to problems beyond your control – like traffic back-ups, car trouble, and dangerous
weather conditions – that can keep you from getting to class on time or at all.
To “attend” an online class, you just need to log on! You won’t waste precious time, and you won’t have to worry about what’s going on between you and
campus.
One of the top reasons students choose an online program is to save money.
Over 45% say that cost is their number one priority. And because students are opting for affordability, this means that more and more colleges are figuring out
ways to get creative so that the cost of these programs can remain manageable.
8. Accredited programs
To be accredited, a school must meet certain standards of quality. According to the US Department of Education, more than 85% of all colleges in the US are
regionally accredited. Not all online schools are regionally accredited, but most are!
Attending an accredited school will allow you to apply for federal and state financial aid, transfer credits more easily, and will provide better employment
opportunities upon graduation
Yes you definitely do, you need him to stop as quick as possible because cigarettes are just basically toxic for any person but even especially when a child hasn't
even fully developed hindering his health even more dramatically than an adult would experience.
Many teenagers believe they look cool or ‘hard’ and actually receive somewhat respect from other teenagers but it just isn't cool what so ever and is any teenager
with so kind of common sense or intelligence will definitely disregard smoking, but with that kind of addiction he’ll mentally get himself into; he won't be able to
fully focus on his education which will then ultimately make him less qualified for jobs in the future as he’ll prioritise smoking over his education due to the dire
need he has for cigarettes because of the nicotine in them.
So by telling your parents it will majorly benefit him and you need to talk to him about his choice of friends because he has definitely been peer pressured into
them resulting in him smoking them regularly.
So the quicker you tell them the quicker he can get off them and know his priorities because smoking is probably one of the worst things he can be doing at the
moment as they are mentally and physically is destroying him
Parents must make sure children understand the dangers of smoking. Smoking can cause cancer, heart
disease, and lung disease. Short-term effects include coughing and throat irritation. Over time,
increased heart rate and blood pressure, as well as bronchitis
Dear Brother:
I hope this letter finds you in sound health and cheerful spirits. Well, I am writing to you to talk on a very serious issue. Mother
hastold me you have started smoking. I was just shocked! How could you be so unwise! No one in our family has ever fallen to
this hazardous habit! It is all the result of your bad company. Let me just tell you some of the hazards of smoking.
There is famous saying about smoking which says, “Smokers don’t grow old…they die young…” It is written on every cigarette
packet in bold that CIGARETTE SMOKING IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH, still people not only buy them, but also smoke them!
Smoking cigarettes is very hazardous to the health of smokers and the health of the people around them. Many people die
because of inhaling cigarette smoke every year. Some of the harmful ingredients in cigarette smoke are nicotine, carbon
monoxide, and tar. Nicotine is addictive.
My dear younger brother we all love you and don’t want to lose you! Kindly give it up completely. For God’s sake don’t even
smoke a single cigarette. Focus on your life, career, and other important issues of life. I am sure you won’t disappoint me. Give
regards to mother and dad. Lots of love to you.
Yours affectionately,
Q.. Mary Sees her nephew smoking a cigarette. The boy is 19 years old. Mary ask you whether she should tell her sister or not. Give mary
some advice.
Dear Mary,
I hope this letter finds you in sound health & cheerful spirits. Yesterday I got letter in which you shared deep concern regarding your
nephew’s smoking habit.
Yesterday I got letter & came to know about your nephew’s smoking habit. Let me tell you bad effects/hazards of smoking and give you
some advice to stop this addiction.
Firstly, smoking is harmful to our health and it may cause serious illness. For instance, smokers have a higher risk of lung cancer, heart
disease and many other fatal diseases.
Secondly, many teenagers have wrong idea that smoking can help them escape from their problem and they can stop smoking whenever they want.
This is a misconception because once they have started, it is very difficult to quit & they become addicted to smoking.
I think you should talk to your sister & family about this problem & its ill effects. I am sure they will help you.

XYZ
Q….Your friend wonders if it would be better to take an online class to study English or to take a regular class.
Dear Xyz,
I hope all is well. I heard that you want to learn English either through online classes or regular classes & seek my advice on the matter under
consideration. I happy to advice you.
Firstly, Traditional classes offer interactions with teachers and classmates. There is more focus in traditional classes than online classes.
Secondly, Classes taken in school are based on schedule and it makes easier for students to learn and do their tasks.
If a student takes online classes, the all responsibilities are left on him or her.
Thirdly, Traditional Classes are based on course, and it let individual to organize better and learn in the better environment.
Lastly, Traditional classes have their set rules, policies and procedures due to which students are less distracted and will learn much more
than online classes.
I would recommend taking traditional classes rather than taking online classes. Take care & write back soon.
Yours lovingly
ABC

Talk about a great time you had with a family member or friend. Maybe you can talk about a party, something you did together at
school, a time you traveled with a friend, or anything else you can remember. What happened and why was it memorable?
Ans: In my life, I’ve often had a great time with my friends and family members. If I had to just pick one thing to talk about, however,
It would be visiting New York City with my brother.
But the trip with my brother was the best.
Task 2
I guess the scariest experience I can think of is when I was babysitting my little cousin one day. I was alone with him at
night watching TV together when I heard a strange noise coming from the bedroom upstairs. I wasn’t scared at first, I
thought it was just the window or the cat was fooling around.
However, I noticed the cat sleeping under the dining table, so the only explanation left was the window. I had to go
upstairs and check. When I got there, everything was normal and the window was closed as usual. Suddenly, I heard the
same noise coming from the living room downstairs this time. It happened that my little cousin was playing me all along!
Your sister wants to see the ballet show (number 1), and you want to go and see Hamlet, the play (number 3).
Convince your sister to go with you and see the play you chose.
Task 5
Amy.
Task 3
This scene takes place in a kitchen during the day I suppose since the kids are still awake. In the middle, I can see a boy and a
girl who seem to be enjoying themselves drawing and coloring on the kitchen table. They both have red hair, the whole family
have red hair actually, even the mother. On the right of the kids, there is a dog who is trying to watch what the kids are doing
and he looks very happy. The mother stands behind the boy cooking a hot meal. On her left, I can also see some messy dishes
piled up in the sink that need attention.
How to answer task 1 in the CELPIP test : Giving advice
Bearing in mind that you have 90 seconds to answer task 1, which is longer than other tasks of the CELPIP test, you should try to provide clear,
convincing reasons to strengthen your piece of advice. While telling someone what to do or guiding him or her to make a choice, there is no
correct or incorrect answer. They are only assessing your ability of advising people in frequent situations and how well you articulate and support
your advice.
While preparing your answer, try to write down useful notes that can help you remember what to say. You should also consider concluding your
advice with congratulating or encouraging statements, such as, “Good luck!” “All the best!” “Congratulations again!”. Think of at least two reasons
or advantages to support your suggestion.
While speaking, speak directly to the person you are advising. CELPIP test raters expect you to act like that. For example start by saying: “Sarah,
you should consider going abroad to continue your studies so that you get your degree first” Another point worth noting is, you should offer an
advice and not orders. You are not bossing people around, you are merely helping the other person by providing a suggestion. You should also
use connectors to show that your ideas are linked and well organized. “on the one hand…” “on the other hand…” “One thing you can do is…” “You
can also ….” “You should also think about” such phrases can be very decisive in your score.
You are being assessed in this task on your ability to tell past stories. In this case, you should use the past tense. The story itself is not important,
so don’t waste time choosing which event, party, or trip you are going to talk about. In fact, I recommend making the whole story up if that is
easier and can save you more time. Do not try to impress them with your story. You should tell a series of events in a chronological way in a
manner that is easy to follow and understand.
Quickly think of what to talk about, events or people you’re going to describe in your story. While speaking use a clear descriptive phrases and
connectors in order to make your story sound well structured and organized. You can use linking words like “Then, after, a moment later,
immediately after, finally…
How to answer task 3: Describing a scene
Being able to describe a scene to someone blind for instance in a way he or she could visualize it in his or her mind is what you are being
assessed for in this task of the CELPIP test. Remember to cover the what, when, where, who, and why in your description. Please don’t try to
cover all the details or people depicted in the picture as you may not have enough time to do it.
You need to efficiently use prepositions of place, such as “under, next to, between, behind, into…” and descriptive adjectives, such as “tall, short,
blond, dark, big…” You should also make use of verbs of action correctly.
While preparing, pick up the things you feel more comfortable describing in details according to your linguistic abilities. Furthermore, try to find
the correct prepositions to describe the locations of some objects or people.
While speaking, start with the setting of the scene. You can start with “This is a scene of …” or “the picture depicts a …” or “In this scene, I can
see a …”After when you start introducing an element of the picture, say where it is in the scene or in relation to something else. For example,
“Behind the blue car, there is a man holding a baby…” or “next to that woman, I can see a phone booth” Try to include specific details like,
peoples expressions on their faces, the color or the size of something, what the man or woman doing, and things of this sort. At the concluding
sentence, you can either say “there are many things happening in this scene” or a sentence like that if you haven’t described all the details or you
can talk about the weather for example or the general mood of the scene. As a matter of fact it is key to be well structured in the CELPIP test to
get a high score.
You need to use your wild imagination in this task of the CELPIP test. Try to describe what might happen in the following minutes in that same
scene of task 3. You can give an imaginative predictable or even unanticipated prediction, but you must not provide something that doesn’t fit the
circumstances given in the picture.
Needless to say you need to use the future tense or some modals expressing predictions. You can use for example “the man might…” or “the cat
would probably…” or “the blond woman may …” Try to give reasons for your predictions in order to keep the flow of the story. You can say for
instance “the little girl may possibly catch her cat as the boy wearing the red shirt will help her catch it. Her mother would probably be very happy
for her daughter”
As you did before in task 3, try to choose the things you feel comfortable talking about. It is recommended to make predictions to the same
elements you described in the previous task since you are more familiar with them. Moreover, try to use accurate descriptive adjectives and
vocabulary items and relate each element to another so that you sound more constructive and organized
CELPIP Speaking Task 5 - Comparing and persuading Outline & Key point
1) Outline
- In the first statement, you should choose one of the two photo/pictures that you like, based on the shape and characteristics (product price, features,
appearance, key features, etc.) of the product.
- In the first announcement, 60 seconds are given for the selection and there is no separate speaking task. When you do not make a selection, the computer
automatically picks up your choice and goes to the second prompt.
- In the second prompt, another photo/ picture other than the selected photo / picture is presented.
- I have to explain / convince the reason why my choice is better than the new one.
2) Key point
- Task 5 concerns the use of expressions related to preference / non-preference, comparison / contrast. Therefore, you should be aware of the main phrases related to preferences
and comparisons of the subject by head and mouth.
- In the first announcement, we check each fact (difference) introduced in the two pictures / photographs, and then summarize the reason of the finally selected picture / picture in
the head, and recall necessary vocabulary and expressions
In the second announcement, we check each fact (difference) introduced in the two pictures / photographs, and then summarize the reasons of the finally selected
picture / picture in the head, and recall the necessary vocabulary and expressions
- The difference between the two options is to compare at least three items
Differences between the choices should be explained by paraphrasing the presented facts
Q Your friend is going to have job interview for the first time. Advise him how it would be and also share your experiences
with him.

Talk about a recent sports event that you have participated in or watched and enjoyed very much.
Two months ago I went to watch a tennis championship match. The match was held at Wimbledon in London. And the match started in afternoon. The
match is memorable to me for some reasons. First of all, I did not have such experience before. I have never seen such a live match in my life. I was
excited. So, I took my seat near the ground and enjoyed the match to the last minute. (74)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recently, I went to watch an IPL cricket match in the local stadium here in Mumbai, India. I enjoyed the match very much. It was a high voltage match
and some of the members of the national and international cricket team took part in it. Unluckily, the team that I supported was defeated by two wickets.
The game is memorable to me for some reasons. The topmost reason is that it was my very first experience of watching a cricket match inside a
stadium. I was excited so much about the matter. And went there with some of my cousins. It was really a wonderful place to enjoy such a large sporting
event.
Overall, it was a nice experience for me. Visiting the stadium, the crowd of people, shouts from the supporters and the other matters were attractive. I
was too happy to see some of the international players from a close distance. (154)

I also dream of doing something for my country. There are so many problems in the country such as poverty, illiteracy and casteism to
name a few. Our country was once known for its rich cultural heritage which is all robbed now. The crime rate in the country is at an all time
rise and so are various other issues. While there are a lot of loopholes in the India political system that has led to these problems however
we cannot blame it all on the government. Each one of us should contribute our bit towards our country’s development.
As I grow up, I aim to join an NGO to empower the poor and needy. I dream of eradicating poverty and social inequality from our country
and will do my best in this direction..
Farewell party ideas are saying goodbyes to your old or depart friends. It is always very difficult and sad, but something which is unavoidable. It is the
rule of nature that time never stops for anyone. It keeps on moving at a constant pace without any comparison or bestowing favor upon any of you. No
matter how much time you spend at a place you have to leave it sometimes for good, sometimes for bad, but departing always occur. You must follow
the great party ideas for the remembrance. You have to say farewells to the leavers and this is a very heavy task. You don’t want to say goodbye to the
ones you love, but at the same time you are aware about the need and importance of their departing. No matter you like it or you hate it eventually you
have to say farewells and when you can’t avoid it then why not make the departing joy full and worth remembering with several Farewell party ideas.
This is the main concept which lies behind the arrangements of farewell parties. These are organized to wish all the best to the ones who are leaving for
their futures and of course to make them feel that their absence will matter for you. These need to be very unique and different because this whole
occasion is quite different from the other related gatherings.
A goodbye presentation from management is a platform to represent the company and management well, for the rest of the workers left
behind. It can remind people of the good things about the organisation. Use this opportunity to express how far the company has come
during the time an employee worked there, and indicate the future direction of the company (but only keep this to a few words - try to
stay focussed on saying goodbye to the person leaving).
Acknowledging how valued people are in the organisation, will help create a positive workplace culture in the longer term. A going away
presentation is one opportunity to do that. This includes being gracious to the person leaving if they have left for negative reasons
On the other hand, if an organisation doesn't provide a leaving presentation, it sends the message that it doesn't care about its workers nor
appreciate the time they spend there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A farewell party is generally hosted to wish an individual good luck for his/her journey ahead, it is also a cheerful way
to bid goodbye. In case of office farewells, they usually are occasions to thank and bid goodbye to employee/s.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Farewell can be a goodbye which is fundamentally a social gathering kind of festivity for the seniors who were integral part of the
organisation for long time of specific organisation… consequently youngsters wish their seniors a good luck or karma for their next huge
undertakings in different structures like singing , moving with inspirational addresses or by encouraging them by a great speech.

Talk about stressful day of life
Completing everyday tasks at home and office is sometimes stressful. And often, the stresses go beyond the tolerable limit. People's
behaviour and attitude are often related to the stress level they have.
There are many stressful days I remember from University as well as from work and out of those, I would like to talk about a
stressful day at my work.
I was stressed at the office about the disagreement with my boss. He wanted to make a detail investment plan even before setting
up the preliminary strategy. So, I suggested him to change his plan and take necessary measures to evaluate the real scenarios.
He did not agree rather threatened me by dismissing me from the position. So, I felt stressed.
Parenting is a stressful task indeed. I am in trouble with my two little children. I took them to my office on Monday last, and there they
crossed the limit. I had to spend about three continuous hours after them. They were making troubles and if I take care of the one, the
second one starts its activities. I was highly stressed that day.
Do employers have a right to spy on workers- (or computers)
When it comes to surveillance at work, you may be surprised at what your employer can legally do. Employers can legally monitor almost anything an
employee does at work as long as the reason for monitoring is important enough to the business. Employers may install video cameras, read postal mail
and e-mail, monitor phone and computer usage, use GPS tracking, and more. The reason for a particular type of workplace surveillance must be more
important than an employee's expectation of privacy to be legally permissible
According to a survey conducted by the Society for Human Resources Development, 74 percent of companies monitor their employees' use of the
Internet. Companies can legally monitor employees' activities if they have written policies stating they should not have an expectation of privacy at work.
Employees who use company phones, Internet, computers and vehicles are responsible for following company policies and guidelines. Companies are
responsible for notifying employees on what type of usage is acceptable and the consequence for misuse. Companies also must be aware of types of
surveillance that cross the line and intrude on an individual's right to privacy.
------------------------------------------------------
Time spent surfing the Web for non-business use affects productivity and can open the company's computer systems to hacking and viruses.
Employees conducting personal business, surfing illicit websites or engaging in illegal activities using social networking can cause embarrassment to the
company and implicate them in the illegal activities as well. Companies should have specific and inclusive Internet usage policies that are either part of
the company handbook or a separate policy that requires an employee signature upon receipt
