Strengths

UST AB Legal Management compared to the curriculum of the other


universities offering Legal Management for freshmen focuses not only
on the legal side but also on the entrepreneurial and management side to
hone its students for both the corporation and legal world. The course is
accredited LEVEL 4 by the Philippine Association of Colleges and
Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).

Weakness

The other universities offer and mandate their students an opportunity to


have their OJT during their fourth year opening wider range of
connections to them before they graduate. At UST, Legal Management
is offered as a course under Bachelor of Arts compared rather to other
universities where it is offered as a Bachelor of Science course.

Opportunities
Considering 25 years of the Legal Management Society at the University
of Santo Tomas, there are already countless of graduates working for the
legal world, corporate world, and for the public service. Because of this,
it bridges the current students with various alumni working for the
industry.

UST Legal Management is also a part of the ALMAP or the Alliance


Legal Management Associations of the Philippines. It is an opportunity
to further connect and create relationships with other students from the
different universities.

Threats

Besides from UST, there are numerous universities in Metro Manila that
also offers Legal Management – ADMU, DLSU, San Beda College,
Colegio de Letran, FEU. Because of the decreasing number of freshmen
students caused by the K+12, there will also be a decrease on the
number of enrollees in the UST Legal management because of a wide
range of competitors (other universities).

Incoming freshmen also has a lot of other pre-law courses to choose


from. Legal Management is not widely known, especially in the
provinces. Mostly, courses such as Political Science, Philosophy and
Public Administration are chosen as a pre-law courses.
