Script Freshmen Orientation
JAYMON: Goodday, KIMIKOS! A short notice for everyone, please make sure
that your cameras are on and microphones are off. Also, please refrain from
clicking the 'present now' button for we are about to start in a few minutes.
ELIZ: Good Afternoon Kimikos! Thank you for waiting. Before we start, let
me introduce to you my partner. He is a former CHE-DSC Treasurer and has
been Emcee in numerous programs in our department. Freshies, here is
Jaymon Angoluan.
JAYMON: Thank you, partner. I am also glad to introduce to you my partner.
She is a former SSC Representative and she is the DSC Treasurer of this
school year. Freshies here is Elizabeth Sulit
ELIZ: Thank you, Jaymon. Let us all straight away to welcome all of you to
Chemical Engineering's Freshmen Orientation!
JAYMON: To formally start our program, let us all feel the presence of the
Almighty with a prayer.
(PRAYER)
ELIZ: Let's all give respect for the National Anthem of The Philippines.

JAYMON: And to honor our school, let us all sing to the TIP hymn.

ELIZ: To begin with, ladies and gents, our beloved department chair who
have served T.I.P. 15 long years will be giving her Opening Remarks. It's a
great pleasure to welcome, Engr. Lorraine Carillo.
(OPENING REMARKS)
JAYMON: Thank you for such an inspirational talk, Ma'am Lorr. Moving on,
the Che department has become a home to every Chemical Engineering
Student. Alongside those heroes who are giving their greatest effort and
time for us to be prepared and ready for our future. I would like to call on
Dr. Jopeth Ramis, RChE, Ph.D to introduce our dear faculty. Let us all give
him a hand.
(INTRODUCTION OF FACULTY)
ELIZ: Thank you for introducing us to our uncapped heroes, Engr. Ramis.
Now to be informed in our Laboratory General Rules and Guidelines, our
next speaker is a (DESCRIPTION). Everyone, here is Engr. Norman Giovanni
Guevarra. Let us all give him a round of applause.
(LABORATORY GUIDELINES)
JAYMON: Thank you, Engr. Guevarra. Before we proceed, you may put your
queries and any clarification on the chat box. Once again, you may put your

ELIZ: Hi Freshies, are you still awake? I hope you are not snoring behind
those muted microphones. Well now, to give us a short break and to
energize our minds here is the short Ice breaker prepared by the DSC.
JAYMON: Now it's time for the never-ending, one and only, Kahoot! The
questions are all General Knowledge. If you wish to participate we
recommend you guys to use another device separate from the one you are
using for the meeting.
ELIZ: The rules are simple! There are Easy, Average, and Difficult questions,
all you have to do is click the shape and color of the answer you think is
correct.
JAYMON: Correct answers will have a generated score by the system
depending on how fast you click or answer. The winner of this game gets the
chance to represent the department for the General Info Quiz Show on the
Freshmen Day on September 9. Freshies, Goodluck!
(ICE BREAKER)
ELIZ: That was an awesome and energizing ice breaker. I hope everyone
liked it and learned a thing or a two. Moving forward, T.I.P. makes sure that
their graduates are well-equipped, on mind and body. For our next segment,
our speaker is a proud alumnus of TIP. He finished chemical engineering and
is currently a full time faculty member of the same department here in TIP-
Manila.
JAYMON: He handles different major courses such as Momentum Transfer,
Heat and Mass Transfer Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics and many
more. He is the founder of Auxesis Review Center, a chemical engineering
review center where they help students conquer the boards and the real
world after.
ELIZ: His 9 years of teaching experience made him known in different
universities throughout the Philippines. He also teaches review classes at
Mapua University and Adamson University crafted for graduating students.
Moreover, his expertise in teaching helped produce topnotchers. Truly, a
one of a kind instructor. Let us all give him a warm welcome, Engr. Robert
Delfin, to discuss Strategic Objectives and Graduate Attributes.
(STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES)
JAYMON: Thank you for that, Engr. Robert Delfin. Once again, you may put
your queries and clarification for our speakers on the chat box. Thank you.
ELIZ: While students must focus on their studies, they still must never forget
how to enjoy and give some time for their own pleasure. That is why T.I.P.
allows different organizations within the institution, to still savor the stress-
releasing co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
JAYMON: And our department, alongside with the Department Student
Council, has another two organizations. The Junior Philippine Institute of
Chemical Engineers (JPICHE) and the Society of Chemistry and Environment
(SCE). In Addition to that, we also have the full support of an institutional
organization, Inhinyera.
ELIZ: Now to give us more information about their organizations, let us call
their representatives starting with the Inhinyera. Please welcome the Vice
President Internal of Inhinyera, Sarina Jane Solina.

JAYMON: Thank you, Sarina. Next off is the president of SCE. Please give him
a warm welcome, Mr. Seth Capellan.

ELIZ: Thank you, Seth. Now for the next organisation, we have the president
of JPICHE. Let us all welcome, Sydney Reig.

JAYMON: Thank you, Sydney. Finally, we have the Chemical Engineering
Department Student Council's President, please give her a warm round of
welcome, Ms. Yla Fraga.
(INTRODUCTION OF ORG-DSC)
ELIZ: Thank you Yla. If ever you have decided to be part of JPICHE, SCE, and
Inhinyera's family,you may register for membership in their organisations.
Membership Drive will occur on September 7,8, and 9. Further will be
announced.
JAYMON: Now if you wish to be one of the officers of the ChE-DSC it is
within the rules of the institution to undergo a one-year mentorship under
the current officers. If you wish to apply as a mentee under our beautiful
and handsome officers, you may fill-up the Google form, that will be sent in
the chat box.
ELIZ: Polish up your skills, learn how the systems work, and be one of us! Fill-
up your applications now!
(MENTEE PROGRAM)
JAYMON: As we have mentioned earlier, Freshmen Day will be on
September 9. In regards to that, our DSC had prepared a screening or
audition for each activity of the said event. To give them recognition, let us
all welcome our representatives for Freshmen Day.
ELIZ: Starting with the KPOP Dance Contest, we have Jillian Manlapaz,
Patrick Villarte, Reynaldo Callanta, Kristin Regio, Jorge Alo, and Divina
Conde.

JAYMON: Next, for the Digital Art Contest, we have Sandra Cachero. (pause)
