Subject- Application regarding organizing ‘Sports Day’ in college.

Respected Sir,

This is to inform you that the B.E. Students have decided to organize an Inter-Squad Sports Day. The
details of the events are as follows:

 Date: 31st August to 2nd September 2019. Final event on 5th September 2019.
 Sports: 1) Cricket
2) Volleyball
3) Football
4) Tug o’ War
5) Tactical Fire Drills
The aforementioned sports will be held within college campus and all squads will have a single
representing team. The rules and regulations will be monitored by the Syndicates of the squads and
proper discipline will be ensured. Proper first aid facilities will also be arranged during the events.
It is our humble request that the college provide us with sufficient funds for the following expenses:
1. Medals & Trophies for the Winners – Rs. 2000
2. Certificates for Winners and Runner-ups – Rs. 2500
3. Sports Equipment – Rs. 500
4. Refreshments – As provided by the college.

The event will mark not only the physical fitness of the students but will also improve the spirit of
sportsmanship and unity within all B.E. squads. This sports week will also lead to optimum utilisation
of our holidays and rejuvenate the excitement of all students.

ITINERARY
 31st ,1st and 2nd – League Matches of football, cricket and volleyball amongst various
participating teams.
 Cricket: 14 members per team. Each team competes in minimum 2 matches. Winners will
receive a trophy and certificates.
 Volleyball: 9 members per team. Each team competes in minimum 2 matches. Winners will
receive a trophy and certificates.
 Football: 9 members per team. Each team competes in minimum 2 matches. Winners will
receive a trophy and certificates.
 The Tactical Fire Drills and Tug O’ War will take place on 5 th September.
 Tactical Fire Drills: 1) Target Hit Practice- Each crew will contain 4 members. The aim of the
exercise is to determine which crew will be able to perform Hydrant Drill in minimum
amount of time. Winners will get medals and certificates. Runner ups will receive only
certificates.
 2) Running Fireman Drill- Each crew will have 4 members. The aim of the exercise is to
determine which crew will be able to perform a series of drills in a consecutive manner in as
minimum time as possible. Winners will get medals and certificates. Runner ups will receive
only certificates.
 Tug O’ War: 10 members per team. The matches will take place in knockout basis. Winners
will get medals and certificates. Runner ups will receive only certificates.
 The award ceremony will take place on 5th after a closing address by the Honourable
Director.
 Refreshments will only be provided on 5th.
