1. DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM


The Gefran automation system suitable for your application is composed of a command unit called
DIGISTAR II with Color TOUCH SCREEN display and a PLC with a series of remote control units
called GILOGIK II.
The system software, for machine cycle and operator panel, is resident in the GT-C, which works with
SoftLogic technology.
The connection between the control units (GILOGIKII) and the command unit (DIGISTAR II) is via
GDNET (Gefran Deterministic Network) with a speed of 100Mbs and I/O refresh every 100
microseconds.
The system has all the peripherals to insure the best performances. Ports for debugging, connection
to local FDD, USB key, modem, printer, ethernet LAN, etc. are therefore available.

2.2 GILOGIK II remote units
