In the complex plane referred to a direct orthonormal system (O; u ; v ) , we associate to each point M of affix z, the

1) a. Calculate the square roots of the complex number – 5 + 12i.

IV- (4 points)

ABCD is a rectangle such that AB=8, AD=4, ( AB, AD ) = mod( 2 ) . O and O’ are respective

the midpoints of [AD] and [BC]. Let T be the center of this rectangle, F midpoint of [OT], E is a point
on [DC] such that DE = 2.

1) Let (P) be a parabola of vertex S, focus F and of directrix (AD). Find the vertex of (P).
Verify that E is a point of (P).
   
2) The plane is referred to an orthonormal system (O, i , j ) such that OF = 2i , OD = 2 j
a) Write the equation of (P) and prove that (OE) is tangent to (P) at E.
b) The straight line (BC) cuts (P) in B ’ and C’. Find the coordinates of B’ and C ’

Part A

f is a function defined over ℝ 𝑓(𝑥 ) = (2𝑥 3 − 4𝑥 2 )𝑒 −𝑥 of curve (C) in an orthonormal system (𝑂; 𝑖⃗, 𝑗⃗).

1) Determine the limits of f at -∞ and +∞.

2) Show that 𝑓 ′ (𝑥 ) = 2𝑥(−𝑥 2 + 5𝑥 − 4)𝑒 −𝑥 .

3)Set up the table of variations of f.

4)Show that (C) admits 3 points of inflections ,one of them of abscissa 2,and determine the other two abcissas.
