    CONTRACT FOR BUS RENTAL SERVICES

    FOR THE TRANSPORT OF LSIs IN CEBU CITY

    KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS:

    This Contract for Bus Rental Services is entered into by and between:

    The, a public corporation organized and existing pursuant to its Charter, herein represented by the, of legal
    age, Filipino, married and a resident of, pursuant to and hereinafter referred to as the FIRST PARTY;

    - and –

    , an existing sole proprietorship, duly organized and registered under the Department of Trade and Industry
    herein represented by, Filipino, of legal age, a resident of Barangay Salvador, Cortes, Bohol hereinafter referred to
    as the SECOND PARTY;

    WITNESSETH

    WHEREAS, the SECOND PARTY will provide three (3) buses with drivers carrying the following bus plate
    numbers: to transport Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) in different municipalities and cities in the Province of
    Cebu who are residents of the, from the designated pick up areas to Pier 1, Cebu Port, Legazpi St. Extension, Cebu
    City;

    WHEREAS, all the three (3) buses will all go to Pier 1 in Cebu City as their final destinations, travelling from and
    passing through the following towns/cities with different designated pick up points namely:

    1st bus - Cordova, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Cebu City;


    2nd bus - Consolacion, Mandaue City, Cebu City; and
    3rd bus - Talisay, Minglanilla, Cebu City
    Van 1 - 3 hour service for the Administrative staff

    WHEREAS, the SECOND PARTY is willing to render the required services to the FIRST PARTY under the terms
    and conditions contained in this Contract and has agreed to perform the services required;

    NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, and of the mutual covenants and
    stipulations hereinafter set forth, the parties hereby agree and by these presents, bind themselves, to wit:

    1. The service of the SECOND PARTY will commence at to transport all the listed Locally Stranded
    Individuals (LSIs) from the designated pick up points to Pier 1, Cebu Port;

    2. The SECOND PARTY shall insure that only 50 % of the sitting capacity will be occupied by the Locally
    Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and shall properly observe the general protocol on wearing of face mask and
    the observance of social distancing;

    3. The SECOND PARTY shall pick up one by one each Locally Stranded Individuals at the designated pick
    up points;

    4. For and in consideration of the services rendered, the FIRST PARTY shall pay the SECOND PARTY the
    total amount of net of all required taxes, as rental fees for the three (3) buses, one (1) Van and for the
    number of hours stated;

    5. An additional shall also be charged against the FIRST PARTY in every hour of excess of the agreed
    service hours;

    6. The FIRST PARTY agrees to pay the SECOND PARTY an initial down payment of 50 % of the total
    agreed consideration before the day of the commencement of the service or before May 27, 2020;

    7. The 50% balance thereof shall be settled paid on the day of the commencement of the service;

    8. This Contract shall become effective upon execution hereof.
