Dale’s Cone of Experiences

Is a model that
incorporates sevral theories
related instructional design
and leaning processes.
During the 1960, Edgar
Dale theorized the learners
retain more information by
what they “do” as opposed
to what is “heard” as what
we did earlier in the games
that all of you didn’t receive
proper action. The “read” or
observe”. His research led
to the development of the
cone of experience. Today,
this learning by doing has
become known as
experiential learning o
action learning. the cone of
experiences diagrammed
(show diagrammed to pupil)

It reveals an action learning

techniques result in up to
90%.of retention. Pupil
leanrn best when they use
perceptual learning styles.
Doles cone of experience is
a tool to help instruction in
making decision about
resources and activities.
